  • I did email the online butcher complete with photos but I haven't had any response. I'll give it a another couple of days then I'll be posting the pictures to their Facebook page etc. It's put me off turkey for a while anyway.

Bit of impulse buy 'bargains' going on but mainly of the edible variety. Freezer is very full. For me, I have bought five pairs of the thin thermal long johns that I prefer at a whole £1 a pair from Boyes. They hadn't got any a few weeks ago when I wanted some new ones, but they have brought the old stock out as part of the sale, hurrah.

Good news on the thermals :)

I didn't see much in the way of bargains when out food shopping today. Clearly I was in the wrong place (or looking in the wrong place). I seem to remember doing well on NYE either last year or the one before so I might nip out on Monday afternoon (I just have to decide where!).

Hope the butcher responds - I need to chase up some light fittings I returned before Christmas and haven't heard about.
  • A good idea to post the pics on FB if the butcher doesn't respond. It's always good to get bargains, food or otherwise.

No response from the butchers, so name and shame for the company when I have a minute free.

I feel like I should be revising the year and idenifitying aims going forward but I am too tired after a very disturbed night. Blasted fireworks and a terrified dog, followed by cats hiding upstairs and jumping out of cupboards at random moments.

    Happy new year people.

Sorry to hear about the traumatised pets. Hope they recover soon.

Re. the butcher - they may be closed until next week. I've got to chase up a refund for some lights I returned. I have the PO proof that they were signed for, but haven't had acknowledgement from the supplier. I'm assuming they have been busy with xmas and may well have closed over the xmas/NY period.
  • Happy new year Redo. I hope the animals are feeling more settled now.

Happy new year redo, sorry to hear about the animals getting such a fright with the fireworks. I really hate when people around us set them off as it disturbs both our cats & our DS. The cats weren't too bad last night but not many neighbours set off fireworks thankfully.

I suppose I should really be thinking of aims for this new year too but I haven't got round to it, except for knowing that I have to restart my yoga & practice regularly. :o
