Hi gang :wave:
Got home from work yesterday to find the staples out of the dog's leg!! Has he swallowed them?! :eek: He was home alone for less than 10 minutes (OH passed me coming home from work when he was leaving) so who knows how he managed it.
It's still a big gaping wound so we may need to take him back to the vet for more stitches etc. Seems so pointless when they just come out anyway!! We've got him an inflatable buster collar rather than the big cone shaped thingy - we'll see how that works out...
Got less than 5 hours' sleep last night so let's see how work will go today...
DNMS - hope work goes ok for you today.
FVD - hmmm, that's frustrating about the train for you. I'm prescribing lots of deep breathing and relaxation downloads for your journey.
Ziggy - thinking of you my lovely :A
So, I've still not sorted breakfast or lunches...
The 50p asda croissants are just too appealing
I did buy a weekly travel card yesterday so a bit of saving there... :think:
Definitely need to tidy round tonight - place is a nightmare (holiday unpacking etc) and couldn't do much last night with OH being out and me having to keep an eye on the dog... (and chatting to my sister
). Today is a new day!! 0 -
Morning all

Don't seem to have achieved much this week so far
Not sleeping well, and tired during the day. ((Hugs)) to Ziggy, take care lovely.
Anyway, today's ambitions, such as they are:
HG fruit with breakfast - blueberries and yellow raspberries
Ironing
Done :T
Make some cakes, lots of eggs to use and lemons looking a bit sad, so lemon drizzle cake it is! Not done
Cleaning - hoovering needs doing today, will co-opt OH! OH did it
Must buy a birthday card for GS2 Done cheque inside and posted, also bought chocs for lovely eye hospital staff and rellies that we will be seeing for the first time in ages at the weekend
Must accompany DH to eye clinic in city this afternoon, to drive back as he won't be able to (they put stuff in his eyes to examine them). Hopefully he won't need to go back after today! Sadly, we need to go back next week, as he had to have more laser treatment
If it doesn't work this time he will have to be referred to the big city eye hospital. A bit worried as he is supposed to be going off on his annual fishing jaunt to Ireland with his mates later this month :eek: Will see what they say at the hospital next week.
HM meals from what we have here Bolognese left from yesterday, a godsend as we didn't get back from the hospital till after 7
Freeze French beans and rhubarb Done
Plan meals and what we need to take with us for (cheap) weekend away Not done, may have to review this depending on OH (though he was perfectly ok after last week's treatment, and says he is fine now)
Dog walk later Done
I'll leave it at that -if all gets done it will be a first for this week

Hello Thursday Penny Thrashers,
Quite a productive morning. I'd love to be out in the garden clearing & weeding, but my back is still bad. Booooo. Fed up with it now. Anyway, today's list:
*Overnight oats using some of the free wild plums I acquired.
*Cleaned all of downstairs using minimal products & washable cloths.
*Changed bed linen. Will do cheap overnight wash when we get a non-rainy forecast.
*Bake sourdough loaf - on its first proving. Fed jar again for next week.
*Sorted out voucher stash. Got rid of out of date ones & put the rest ready for tomorrow's shopping trip.
*Make packed lunch.
*Did next week's meal plans.
*Write shopping list.
*Copied out a recipe so that book can go back to the library.
*Froze a 3rd container of blackberries.
*Feed greenhouse veg & outdoor tomatoes......can't do the rest as the watering can is too heavy for my back.
*Knit more Christmas present.
*Pick tomatoes & greengages.
*Think what jobs I can usefully get done on city centre trip tomorrow. We will be paying to park so I may as well utilise that time well.
*Take box of useful recycled bits & pieces I've collected down to shed.....yoghurt pots for seedlings, plastic bottles for cloches, lollysticks for plant labels, etc.
I may get a few additional small things done too, but anything which involves heavy lifting or lots of bending is out for the next few days as I really need my back to sort itself out.
Love to all,
F x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -

Evening all!
Another busy day for me today...
Dropped DS to work.
Went to new GPs to get my prescription, she seemed very nice though she looked about 12
Managed to still catch my train in time.
Popped out at lunch time to fill my prescription and bought a gift voucher while I was there for DSXGF's birthday which is at the end of the month, I don't want to ignore it as its a big one.
Got a free Asd@ Mexican banquet(!) at work which I cooked for DS for dinner, I only fancied jacket potato myself so had that instead.
I've fed the veggies, Auby has half a dozen aubergines about half grown that are swinging around in the wind! I've moved him to a corner where it might be a bit more sheltered.
I did the YS run and just bought two packs of grapes and a falafel salad thingy for lunch tomorrow.
I've just done another WBB trade for £10.23, the more I try to make extra money the more I realise it's so much easier just to not spend the money I had in the first place than to make some more!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
Evening all :hello:
I have had such a busy couple of days! Worked 8-5 in London yesterday then caught the train home, got in at 10pm with a banging headache - probably due to dehydration and tiredness. I went straight to bed when I got in and slept fairly soundly until just after 8 this morning, but still had a bad head when I woke up...
I've then been busy marking all day - mainly because I want to get it over and done with asap and because it was raining. I also finally managed to unpack, tidy up, hoover and wash dishes, plus 2 loads of washing when I eventually got going.
Should be back to a reasonable level of work tomorrow (fingers crossed).
Dizzy - Ziggy does comps and does really well in them as well.
Ziggy - take care and I hope you're better and on the up soon.Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Morning
I have been up for agggggeeeeeessssssssssssss! And have nothing to show for it
tis annoying everyone in our household is such light sleepers meaning I can't really make the most of this time! But the morning is still early and at this point I still have 2.5hrs before I need to leave for work! :rotfl:
I have a fairly easy day today as 2 clients have cancelled so I have 1 appt for 2 hours and then the rest of the time is office work. Should be up to date by the end of the day - might even be able to take a cheeky P.O.E.T.S day
small plans for the day:
* make note of mileage
* checked banking
* paid £19 off of cc card for lol dolls we got madam this week (Arg@s have a 342 offer on toys so brought 9 of the dolls bringing to cost down per item from £9.99 to now £5.20. Any additional cash made between now and payday is going towards them!
)
* crazy 15 mins in the kitchen to keep on top of it
* vacuum d/s
* put lunches together - I've got soup I got out of the freezer on weds
* I need to check cc 2
* nip to sm and pick up a few bits. Stick to list and take carrier bag
* exercise, hot tub, bottle of wine (from stores) and games with oh this evening
* put veg scraps in fp and feed to worms
* make pizza dough & make a pizza before work so oh can bung it in the oven when he gets in
* ooooo I might make a cake in a minute :money:
Nothing wildly exciting! Just get through the working day and then starting the weekend slow down
Happy Friday guys xDF as at 30/12/16
