Afternoon All
Slinking back in, been a busy few weeks with DH's recovery, hospital appointments for us both and school holidays, have been keeping the DFW faith and doing my regular "small things". We've managed lots of walks, a trip to the cinema, lots of decluttering and two days in hospital for me  everything is fine now and am trying to stay positive - things can only get better. Today I will or have:
Minimum 7000 steps (my personal challenge for August)
DH to physio/rehab
Check Bank and make PAD
Few bits from supermarket (inc freebies on COS)
Upload receipts to COS
RM Surveys
Post ebay sale
Continue purge on emails
Enter a few comps
All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer
Check: Luckyphone, Ashleigh, FPL, Numberplatelotto
Have a great day all.
Love

ziggy great to hear from you, hope OH continues to do good in his recovery.
Didn't get chance to get on here yesterday. Team managing at the weekend and boy did the paperwork fly yesterday. Trying to do as much as I can early as I want to go without any last minute rushes. It's a very tiring weekend so I want to enjoy and pace myself aswell, esp as DD is in hospital next tues for an operation.
Usual start to the day-banking all checked and any bits paid. I have one more week of paying for my Christmas vouchers and I'm all done. Christmas shopping is just about finished so if I don't need some of them for an early Christmas present for DD at uni, I'll save most of them again for the sales.
Sounds strange talking about the 'C' word, but it honestly felt like we were in autumn and speeding towards Christmas. Getting up it was dark, gloomy and colder this morning.
Want to get a banana and chocolate cake made hopefully today as I've got some bananas that really need using up and then it cut up slices for the freezer for DD.
DD has been told to increase her calorie intake from 3000 calories a day:eek:
Just about to start the usual cat cleaning and want to run the Hoover thru today, i will get some housework done today:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi all,
Thanks for good wishes re my back. Am just having a sit down with a hot water bottle on it but got to get moving in a bit as need to prepare for a meeting. Ziggy - nice to have you back. Hospital?? Hope you are now ok x
*Blanched & froze more home grown french beans.
*Picked tomatoes, courgettes & basil.
*Pasta bake tonight.....apart from mozzarella, pasta & anchovies, I think we'll have grown everything in it plus salad.
*Knitted more of current 2 projects, 1 of which is for the present box.
*Fed sourdough jar ready to bake loaf tomorrow.
*Updated grocery budget - £12 underspend which adds a little extra to remaining weeks.
*Did a survey.
*Messaged bank about anomaly on statement received this morning. It shows our account as having been overdrawn at the end of July when it definitely was not.
*Did the ironing. Big sort through first. Only TWO items required pressing!! Best ironing basket ever!!
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
That will be it for today, but I feel loads more in control having updated budgets. Far too early in the month for those to start getting away from me!
Cheers all,

Chest pain is always a real worry and unfortunately it highlighted a couple more issues that will need resolving at some point but for the moment we know it wasn't another heart attack or a blood clot, so that's good news - but could be infection in the lining of my heart as white blood count is high (so there's infection somewhere in my body) and my ddimer levels are raised too
Feel much better in myself just easily tired and breathless but determined each day will be a good day - life really is too short.
Rest up that back as much as you can.

Hope you get it under control soon, Ziggy
Evening all, it's been a busy day today so haven't had time to post. It's also been a bit of a spendy day as I had to order DS some safety shoes for work and also buy him some more work trousers. I opted to buy good quality ones as the cheap ones split too easily.
I finally got a reply from the train people to say that the trains from my station during the disruptions will be the old type with no air con, no first class and, more importantly (to me), no toilet. I haven't had to use the loo on the train in two years since taking my ADs (as my IBS seems to due to anxiety) but being stuck on a hot, crowded train and *knowing* there isn't a loo is just the sort of thing that would set it off. I have an appointment with my new GP tomorrow, maybe they can up my dose.
I went down for the YS run tonight and bagged three packs of pork stir fry for 38p each (down from £3.80) so I am well chuffed. I will cook one later for DS and the other two are in the freezer. I resisted the urge to buy fruit as I have lots of windfall plums to eat first.
Tonight is going to be mostly about putting clean washing away and then having a nice long bath.
