I'm one of the ones who don't post very often on here, but lurk a lot.

I have to say that I am still rather chuffed with myself.

October had a total of 22 days AF and I think the entire year so far is up to 124 (which is more than my whole of 2016).

I kinda pledged to myself to only drink Friday and Saturday and I have stuck to it (mainly) for the last few months.

I am also on 5:2 and so don't want to drink the day before a fast and can't the day of a fast, but it has gradually moved from 5:2 being the main reason for me not drinking those days to the money saving and health side of it as well.

Recently, I have found myself craving a drink while at work and saying to myself that it won't do any harm if I have one when I get in and it has taken a lot of willpower to not reach for the bottle.

I can't tell if I'm flagging cos when I started the diet, I was "in the zone" and so just didn't drink, and now I'm in the next stage of having to resisting and the "zone" slipping.

But I have resisted and I'm hoping that the next stage will be that it's just second nature not to drink and that the cravings go.

Interesting post Pollyanna. I know I'm mostly motivated by keeping down the calories but as it works I'm not knocking it.:)

Also recognise that feeling of anticipation of a reward later in the day. I found telling myself it just wasn't going to happen and getting cosy on the sofa with a hot drink would be my reward at the end of the day seemed to work well.

I'm not drinking today but after that probably awol for a week or so as we have some nights out and then a short holiday. I'll be back in plenty of time to get more November AF days though.

    6 AFDs please Shaggy.
  • 6/20 for me, please. Thank you . xx

I need to set a target again. The end of last month and beginning of this month hasn't been good. I've seemingly got back into the habit of drinking on a nightly basis and the amount I've been drinking has been slowly creeping up. Had a lot less tonight but it's not been an AF evening.

Going to aim for 12, please.

    4/18 please shaggy

Finding this month is tricky. I’m thinking about wine more and craving it more than I should be. Hmmm. This is concerning.
