Honey Bear, re Nigella, I've always had the impression that she has a massive sweet tooth - even some of her savoury recipes taste sweet.0

Don't hesitate to let me know if I've made a mistake! What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Thanks everyone for your supportive comments!!
Honey Bear - I do feel better during the day and its so much easier to get things done! Started some simple decorating this week and its good to see something a little more productive being done with my time. ;-) Sugar cravings in the evening are still there but not as intense as they once were.
All in, I feel better overall and am looking forward to getting to 60 days... not to long to go!

Went out with colleagues last night and had a couple of glasses of wine but intend today to be AFD. Must remember this at airport tonight!0

Off the mark with 1/5 AF days.
Off to the Lake District today for a couple of days, this morning is one of those that reminds me what I love about autumn/winter. Cold hard frost and blue sky - gorgeous! Looking forward to sitting in front of log stove and being cosy.0 -
Have a lovely time Green Karen!Honey Bear, re Nigella, I've always had the impression that she has a massive sweet tooth - even some of her savoury recipes taste sweet.
I've got a couple of her books (from the late 1990s!) and everything I've made from them has turned out really fantastically well BUT I agree with you, if the secret is adding sugar in one form or another, or a load of fat, she's not that clever. As it happens, mostly, I don't cook sweet things because they're too much temptation.takingonedayatatime wrote: »All in, I feel better overall and am looking forward to getting to 60 days... not to long to go!
It's a huge milestone, although on the day itself it won't feel very different which is always a disappointment. However, it's a significant one in terms of knowing we can do this now - the first couple of months are tough but they are do-able for most of us if we stick at it. Go One Day! :T :j :T
6/30 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0
