11/01/21: Offers
accepted on both sales & on our joint purchase
25/01/21: Identity checks completed, solicitors instructed
27/01/21: Purchase survey & valuation complete, mortgage offer
received
05/02/21: Reduction agreed on partner's sale (under-valuation) & on
purchase. Mortgage offer amended
08/02/21: Buyers pack returned to solicitor - sellers packs already returned
26/02/21:
Partner's sale contract signed
10/03/21: Purchase searches all back
16/03/21: My sale contract signed
28/03/21: Purchase enquiries satisfied, Title
Report & contracts issued, contracts signed & returned
11/05/21: Still waiting on final enquiry in the adjoining chain to be resolved. Consent to break the chain granted, instruction to move to exchange given.
17/05/21: All parties agreed to June 3rd for completion
27/05/21: Exchanged on my sale only
28/05/21: ALL EXCHANGED!
03/06/21: Completion

We are now only waiting for one outstanding enquiry before we can exchange, an 'assignment pack' from the landlord. It feels like this could take a while to receive... exchanging before the end of the month feels like a pipe dream at the moment!1

Not yet.... the solicitors have my deposit money, so my account looks pretty sad... really hoping for exchange tomorrow, but I guess will just have to wait and see if it actually happens or not. I like to take it in turns, yesterday I was hassling the solicitor, today was the estate agents turn. Also really hoping for exchange tomorrow, actually I was really hoping to exchange yesterday but that didn't happen, today doesn't look likely either so tomorrow it is ( see tomorrows post hoping for MondayNot yet.... the solicitors have my deposit money, so my account looks pretty sad... really hoping for exchange tomorrow, but I guess will just have to wait and see if it actually happens or not. Completion is supposed to be 29th and there are so many admin bits that I need to get sorted but holding off until all parties are contractually bound first.

Those who are blessed enough to have completed previously, can I expect to hear from my solicitor beforehand? I've not heard anything since exchange last week and we complete on Monday. I sent over the additional funds last week as well so there shouldn't be anything outstanding.0

Yeah, it's the admin bits.. like the broadband, we both need that to be able to work, so really need to kick the broadband move off ASAP. I've emailed the solicitor - nothing back yet. The EA is Purple Bricks, so no point in harassing themCoopsy85 said:
