Today it is 362 days since I first viewed and 355 since sale was agreed. If I can hold on that long, you can too...! Hang in there 😅Irishpearce26 said:So still on for completion on the 3rd (I hope) but haven't exchanged yet. My solicitor is just getting confirmation on drawing down funds (im lucky that i have a very communicative solicitor). I know my buyer has exchanged already and the house we are buying is empty and is part of a part ex. Everything is booked and ready to go and the house is about 70% packed. I think ill only start to get nervous come Monday afternoon if we don't know what we will be exchanging. Also having to try and get a response from the developer as to the state the previous owners left some of the walls, this is one of the worst examples. Top corner near the ceiling in the lounge.Everyone else exchanging or completing today - good luck!0 -

House put on the market 6/1
Accepted an offer over asking price 11/1
Had offer accepted on our dream house 18/1
Mortgage application - 18/1
Mortgage offer received - 22/1
Searches ordered - 22/1
Contracts signed and sent to solicitor - 28/1
Searches received - 3/2
Enquiries raised - 4/2
Enquiries responded to 24/2
....
Requested completion date - 15/3
We're in a chain of three people (our sale to FTB and our purchase) and our buyers are in exactly the same position now - but my solicitor isn't giving me straight answers on when we can exchange. The only outstanding enquiries are from our buyer's solicitor about a copy of the sale of the house in 1926 but my solicitor is saying she's awaiting a reply from the land registry for that?
She said earlier she thinks we're close and it should happen 'within the next 2 weeks' however I have no idea if she means exchange or completion in 2 weeks.
We're halfway through packing but can't really judge whether we should be doing it all ASAP or not!0 -

Solicitor says she's responded to all enquiries now and happy with what the seller's solicitor has responded with too... so should be exchanging mid-end of next week fingers crossed (I wanted earlier but we'll see) with a completion date of the 15th if all goes well. Slightly ****ing myself as that's only two weeks away though0

Had a lot of back and forth with mine lately but essentially my solicitor is saying that shes happy my sale is sorted. My purchase needs basically an ok from the solicitor for that to be completed and then we can arrange dates.
Problem is - none of this is in writing and my buyer is having a tantrum that unless we agree dates today hes going to pull out. Dunno if thats a lot of hot air....
Everyone working towards 12th March completion dates hopefully0 -
Meant to say, congrats to everyone who has exchanged or completed today, especially those of you who it has taken forever for. Lots of luck!Property buying/selling timeline - currently into week 21

Fingers crossed for you Tsj90s! There's still time, think positive
We've had some more paperwork today, enquiries from one of our buyer's solicitors. We've been asked about exchange and completion dates as well, which is exciting. We're getting post/emails almost every other day, and things seem to be really moving along - hopeful that I might not end up having to store all my stuff for too long after all.Property buying/selling timeline - currently into week 21
