We were about to complete and our chain collapsed, the old bottom link (ftb) now wont sell their search results onto the new bottom link. Any body know why they might do this ?

Euuuurgh I'm sorry. Maybe stubbornness, maybe too upset if the reason they pulled out was out of their hands? Ours we were lucky the searches were sold on but not the surveys which have only just been booked in a month after the chain was reformed...0

Hmmm that does seem strange. Unless they're hoping, perhaps slightly desperately that they will be able to come back to you soon and trying to delay the new chain but unlikely if you have another proceedable buyer...1

charliesmith125125 Sorry to hear that. How strange that they won't sell on their results. Would the EA have an explanation?0

I hate weekends and the waiting game that comes with it!I'm praying we will be good to exchange and complete in the next three weeks. Our searches are due back this coming week and just a couple of quick enquiries to sort and that should be it. Hope I haven't tempted fate by ordering cardboard boxes and printing out 'change of address' checklists.

Funny isn't it.. normally I'm looking forward to the weekend and not having to work, for the past month I can't wait for the weekend to be over so house matters can progress!denideth said:I hate weekends and the waiting game that comes with it!I'm praying we will be good to exchange and complete in the next three weeks. they are unsure why its a couple of links down the chain and in a diffrent county berkshire where searches are taking 65 working days to come back. i have a feeling they never did the searches but EA has been advising me for months they were on enquiry stage.denideth said:charliesmith125125 Sorry to hear that. My wife and I were saying this the other day... it just feels like the weekend gets in the way of what little progress is made in the week.parkingadvice1212 said:

I paid for searches on my new property on Thursday and was told they take about 3-4 weeks to come back.
On Friday the solicitor emailed me loads of stuff - TR1, Contract, Fixtures and Fittings Form etc etc. I have signed the contract and TR1 form ready for the husband to hand deliver to the office on Monday. The only query raised by my solicitor is a certificate for the extension but I know this was completed before the seller moved in so that may be tricky to get hold of.
I'm happy to relax for the next month while the searches are happening in the background. Starting to get excited now and looking online for furniture for the new house!1
