So frustrating waiting for other people isn’t it. The fact it’s out of your control and there’s nothing you can do is the worst!!

Been reading this thread constantly for the past few weeks. We are still waiting with no update.. here is our timeline so far for anyone whose interested:

18/09: Offer accepted
23/09: solicitors instructed
12/10: Mortgage application sent
30/11: Mortgage offered
03/12: searches received and enquiries raised
15/01: Enquiries responses received
22/01: Exchange planned for 29th Jan & completion 5th Feb
27/01: contracts signed
29/01: EA called to say vendors related purchase isn’t ready as waiting replies to enquires and their management pack needs to be reviewed with more enquiries potentially raised.

Now completely left in the dark with no dates in sight... Been such a long and draining process with still no dates in mind! Hoping for some good news this week but won’t hold my breath.

I agree that the process is so draining. Just sick of it all now.
How often are you planning on checking in with the EA?

So far I have been quite reasonable with just the odd email here and there but now we are so close to the end, and with delays coming from out of the blue, I’m planning on chasing a lot as it’s been going on for so long and we’re just waiting on our vendors solicitors now.

How about you?

I am going for the daily approach now. 
I am sure the EA and solicitors are fed up of the daily emails/ calls but it seems that no progress is made unless I am persistently chasing. 
Keep us updated as to the progress of yours. I hope you have some better news this week.

Solicitor out of office today. 
Bum. 
Still crossing everything for completion this time next week.

Anybody know what "waiting for undertaking from vendors solicitor" means? This was the update I got from my solicitor...

I assume this means waiting for the vendors solicitor to confirm they are ready to exchange.

Well an undertaking is a promise to do something. But without more info, impossible to tell I think!

And we have exchanged.

Burst into tears of relief. Been a rocky journey since end of July when house went on the market, with a few bumps along the way. We complete on Thursday and furniture etc comes out of storage on Saturday.

Oh, and I've managed to book our 1st COVID vaccinations  - husband tomorrow, me on Friday. Going to a busy few days ahead .

Burst into tears of relief. Been a rocky journey since end of July when house went on the market, with a few bumps along the way. We complete on Thursday and furniture etc comes out of storage on Saturday.

Feeling disappointed as rang the EA this morning and was told I would have an update and guess what.. nothing!

Congratulations! I keep refreshing my emails every 5 mins in the hope of an update (Not doing myself any favours I know). 
Lets hope this is the start of many 'We've exchanged posts' this week.
