Couldn't get the hold of any estate agent 🤦‍♀️
So spending the weekend running through a million different scenarios in my head 😂
How frustrating! When we lost our buyer close to a weekend (due to their buyer pulling out) our estate agent did actually suggest not telling our vendors straight away, putting our house straight back on the market and then telling them on the Monday having (hopefully) already got some viewings lined up. We'd already built up a really good relationship with our vendors, so chose to tell them straight away (we knew they would appreciate that more). They thankfully said they'd wait for us within reason anyway and we had a new offer very quickly.
I just wonder if your buyers have been given the same advice and are hoping to break the news with viewings or another offer lined up first. Seeing the listing is really not a great way for you to find out 🙁
That's what I'm thinking and I completely understand. I'm willing to give them a bit of time before putting mine back up. Only found out from a friend who is house hunting herself and noticed it was back online 🤦‍♀️

How many people on here have actually exchanged on the date they were expecting to. We have been given a date of Monday. Our solicitor emailed on Friday to confirm that she has agreed exchange with all parties on Monday and completion will be on Wednesday. I’m sat here worrying that it still might not happen after we had a small issue last week with a solicitor in the chain losing a contract.

It can be either or both.  At the moment with conveyancers working from home, it will be by email.

Mine have always communicated via email (both between each other and me)

They'll sometimes sends a hard copy for me to review but only following an email.

All communication has been by email. The only thing that came in the post was the transfer document and contract to sign, one document needed witnesses to verify our signatures. Even my ID checks were done by showing them on a video call.
