  • @Chrispy_2 What on earth? How can that happen on completion day?

I have absolutely no idea and it is very unfair in my eyes, I'm not too fussed about the expense as I am about the stress it is causing us. The vendor must be furious.

We exchanged this morning - two weeks later than buyer said they were ready - but still great news! Completion on 5th November. Accepted their offer 17 July - we are going into rented while we wait for ours.
That's great news. 2 weeks to sort everything out is a luxury these days. I hope COVID doesn't intervene.

I was supposed to complete at around lunchtime and get the keys around 1ish. This morning my lender has suddenly decided at 9am this morning that they would quite like to pass a mine entry interpretive report prior to completion and requested a return of their money. What a fiasco, I have a van rented, given notice to vacate my storage unit etc.
Assume you were exchanging & completing today? Nightmare for everyone concerned.

How do people manage their anxiety at these times? I’m quite an anxious person anyway but this whole process is driving me mad!

    Alcohol. And very good friends.

And having a son living in Hong Kong who I can chat to during the many hours of insomnia each night  when good friends are asleep. However, having a son living in HK inevitably brings its own set of anxieties.

I got to Aug and being told the chain collapsed for the second time sent me into a panic attack, I think the build up of stress of furlough, not moving, dealing with it all built up. The panic attack made me realise I needed help and a break so luckily husband has now taken on the communication with EA and I’m focusing on gym instead.
I knew moving would be stressful but never dreamt it would be this bad.
I feel for everyone going through this tough time at the moment.
