Well things are finally moving! Our next door neighbour is buying our house but has been in Pakistan selling his. He's the bottom of the 4 house chain and our vendor's EA has been very unpleasant whilst we waited for the money to transfer to the UK etc.
Anyway, according to his son, he's booked a ticket home and we should be ready to exchange next week and complete the one after when I'm on half term and my kids aren't! Very relieved, as it looks like there's light at the end of the tunnel.0 -
GUESS WHAT!
I still haven't exchanged - vendors Sol apparently still has some issues with their purchase.
My sol will call me first thing to get my permission again.
Come on, we all knew this would happen - after all this is the CTC show :rotfl:0 -
Oh no! Fingers crossed for tomorrow?0

Looking forward to the Borehoole update phoebe :rotfl:
Good news for RTguy and Liquoricet as well - I wish you both speedy completions.
And of course Midwifelift has shown us it can happen
Until tomorrow0 -
Ooh, I plan to bore you all with talk of boreholes and septics tomorrow night, lol :rotfl: Sadly we can't get to have another look inside the house itself as the EAs are conveniently not available and - due to it being a repo - they can't allow us to take the keys
I will, however, be pressing my nose firmly against the windows to see anything I may have missed last time.....probably just additional mould
I hope to return to this thread in the evening to find a flurry of exchanges, you especially, CTCMortgage-free for fourteen years!

No exchange for us today - the top of the chain wasn't contactable so we don't know if they got an answer to their final query. I'm guessing not. Hoping we'll exchange tomorrow. I'll keep this short and sweet or I'll just rant."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000
