Fortunately our vendors waited, and we waited, while our buyers put their house back on the market, and fortunately the found a new buyer within a couple of weeks :j
Now we're all just waiting foe the new person to catch up, it's only been 7 weeks and we've had Christmas in between.
I am getting impatient though - it's already over 6 months since we found a buyer for our existing house and we're still living in it. Aarrgghh!
Fingers crossed to those of you trying to exchange this week. Hope to be able to join you over on that other thread soon :j
Thank you for your words! I know this can happen, but we always hope it doesn't happen to us...
I still didn't have any news from our seller. I just hope they will sell, but not sure as it is a new build and is ready to move in
We were so happy has we were not in a chain... Our buyer was an investor and we are buying (or trying to buy) a new build, so in my head was pretty straight forward
Just going to speak with our estate agent later today to decide what to do
Good luck for all the ones exchanging this week. I am very happy to see good news, as this makes me more confident that will happen eventually :rotfl:0 -
Won't be exchanging today ...now a hold up at the other end ...trying to remain calm but feel a bit sick0

That's were I was in Decmeber - but it could just be something really minor, I know it's super hard but try not to worry too much0 -
Symapthise.
After weeks of me chasing the solicitor told me yesterday that exchange on Friday is a possibility.
I’m expecting it not to happen, been delayed at virtually every step without any explanation, yet I’ve replied the next day to anything asked of me!0 -
Now my solicitor is asking me to complete fixtures and fittings AGAIN WTAF ,,,starting to get a bit of rage on wished i had emailed it all over now instead of delivering it by hand ...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
How can we have been so close now this ...just about ready to seriously blow my top !0 -
Sorry i know i am ranting away in here and you are all being very sane and telling me to stop worrying but i'm stuck in between RAGE and despair ...
Possibly being a drama queen LOL0 -
You rant away. It's beyond frustrating and we all get that0

We've had little contact from our solicitors since we signed the contracts on Monday - one email to say the vendors solicitor is happy with 26th January to complete, and they will let us know when ready to exchange.
We asked to exchange tomorrow, then there's no hold up requesting funds from NatWest etc ahead of Friday - 3 phone calls, 3 emails later we're still none the wiser if this is going to actually happen.
Feel in limbo, know we need to pack in case we're moving next week - but knowing that things could still fall apart as we've not exchanged. It's a joke, and the solicitors can't even have the decency to acknowledge the fact that we've been trying to get hold of them repeatedly.0
