In our case we accepted an offer on our property at the start of July. We found a property to purchase and offer was accepted on 10 August. We exchanged on the 9 December and will complete on 9 Jan 2023. All the time we kept thinking the buyers of our property would pull out with all the negativity surrounding the housing market. However they never once messed us about and only viewed our property once on the open day and that was for about 10 mins.0 -
Aaaaand we have completed! At quarter to 5, nothing like the last minute of course. Estate agents are currently in an escape room somewhere, so we'll see if we manage to get hold of the keys tonight, but either way omg what a relief!6

no news from solicitor at all although EA have said that previous buyers have been contacted by our sols and asked to sign the transfer forms again abs return special/recorded delivery. Not sure why if this is the case our sols haven’t even bothered to update us despite me chasing them by email for an update yesterday morning.
im not impressed and not convinced I will have any updates before they break up for Christmas hols0 -
