Sorry to hear that @RM_2013 !
I hadn’t heard from our solicitor re response to enquiries so I gave her a call today. She said shes received a response and everything is sorted.. she said she’s had the confirmation of release of funds and we should complete 2nd November
I then said hang on we’ve not returned the replacement mortgage deed form yet.. she then apologised and says she’s got us mixed up with another client..
doesn’t fill me with confidence!Once she got to our file she confirmed she’s not heard back re enquiries so chased them up whilst on the phone to me. She said once they’re back she’ll do the final report and send us all the final forms to sign.0 -

Well we are due to complete on Friday, I think everything is done?! Exchanged over a week ago and we've had the completion statements etc and solicitors seem ready to go...just feels weird to be waiting now after months of hassling people! I keep feeling like there is something else we need to do other than pack up and collect keys!
Been a long fortnight hoping nothing goes wrong before completion day!1 -

It's all gone very quiet this end, not much update from solicitor, vendor or estate agent. Spidey senses seem to suggest something is up...0

Day 3 of 5 waiting to hear that the buyers solicitors are ready. Mr sloth needs to get his act together as my anxiety is through the roof!!0

Noticed on our conveyancers portal that they had received a mail from the lender yesterday- hopefully to confirm that the mortgage was reinstated. Yep, it was- but our conveyancer is on holiday. Spoke to someone else there who said they would get the ball rolling re: exchange, who then mailed the wrong set of solicitors.
As far as we know, everyone is ready- buyer for OH's flat is ready, we're ready, our vendor is ready. Just need all the conveyancers to do their stuff and get it right!1 -
