Completion date set for the 3rd Nov, not exchanged yet though. Well, maybe we all have but no one is telling us, OH's buyer or our vendor. We're in contact with them both. OH has provisionally booked movers for the bigger furniture he has, anything that can fit in a car is going in a car.
@trakky14 my Dad's job moved him around when I was young. His employer paid for Pickfords top service for long distance moves. Used to go out for the day and leave them there. They'd pack everything, move it overnight and then unpack the next day, including dismantling furniture and putting it back together. Used to get even the teaspoons wrapped and packed individually. So much easier, but I dread to think of the cost!1 -

We have been waiting to exchange for more than a month, but to be fair from this thread it looks like who hasn’t 😂
Vendor finally gave us a completion date end of last week, we have been pushing them to exchange this week but vendor’s solicitor kept ignoring the question (of whether or not they can offer to exchange this week). On Tuesday I asked the estate agent to call them and chase, apparently they still need to review the file but the underwriter (?) was not at work that day, and they said it would be reviewed on Wednesday and they would then contact my solicitor. Obviously, that did not happen lol
I honestly hate every part of this process.0 -
Day 4 of waiting to exchange. Just had an email from my solicitor to tell me that the buyers solicitor mr sloth 🦥 is still not responding to her emails to exchange prior to completion on Monday. I’ve just asked the agent to chase him as well. The man is a nightmare!!! 🙄🙄🙄0

@mrsmagpie80 that really is quite incredible. What the heck is he doing???
We're one step forward- OH's sale conveyancer and the buyers have agreed a date, just waiting for our vendor's conveyancer to agree to the same date. Come on people answer your mails and calls!!!1 -
Me sloth 🦥 is on holiday!!! 🤣🤣 how absolutely perfect. Looks like exchange and complete on the same day Monday. I’m going to be a nervous wreck at work 🤦♀️😂0
