Got a reply from EA, Seller's solicitors have said the seller is partially blind so they are working with him as he is struggling with forms, feeling hopeful still for an August completion 🤞🏻 Still awaiting a reply from my Solicitor 😐

Our estate agent, the middle solicitor and the head office at the developer were buying from have all been on hold to the solicitor since first thing this morning 😔 I feel if it doesn’t happen soon then there won’t be time today and the house we’re buying will go back on the market

All solicitors seem to be talking now, just depends how long it all takes. I have no idea how long it actually takes for them to do the exchange once started 😬 We’re going away for the weekend too so would really like to have this over and done with so we can enjoy our holiday rather than stressing about if we have a house still available by Monday. If this goes through, I’m never moving again 😂

I have 100% said this to my other half multiple times. I finally understand why people stay in their haunted houses in horror movies... bloodthirsty ghosts versus chasing solicitors... no question which is easier to tackle.

EA has told us exchange is likely to be Monday or Tuesday now. Not at all stressed. (Not to mention I started googling energy stuff at midnight last night, which was relaxing).

Fingers and toes crossed for you that you can get it tied up before the holiday!

Exchange itself can be a quick call or email. Pretty anti-climactic in the grand scheme of things.

Finally a reply from my solicitors! Basically got told “they’re standard enquiries” and that’s that, no actual enquiries given and basically told that once they’re responses to she will be in touch, I feel like it’s going to be a long road ahead of chasing 😐

Exchange didn’t happen. Bottom solicitors didn’t get their act together until 4:50 🤦‍♀️ My solicitor finished at 4:30 but agreed to stay on until 5 but it didn’t reach her until 5:10 and she’d already gone home. Good news is, the developer isn’t pulling out as we’ve proved we’re ready and willing but needs to be done first thing Monday. I can’t wait to just relax now, although it’s going to be a mad rush as we’re completing on Friday
