Everyone had agreed to complete on the 29th - today we found out that this isn’t true and we now have suggestions of the 10th. We know it isn’t that much of a push back but bang goes the bank holiday weekend we needed for moving! Urgh
It seems our wishes of the 29th have been completely disregarded. For personal reasons we set the 29th as an absolute deadline. So, what do we do now?0 -

No41edwardianhouse said:Yup. Gonna try that tomorrow. However, we really feel like telling everyone to stuff it. Originally promised the 20th, then the 29th and now it’s pushed back again! Feels like we are the ones who are always dancing to the beat of everyone else’s drum!
Told my solicitor no and to figure it out with the chain, to have an answer back by Friday or I want my deposit returned by close of business. I’m sick of moving things for everyone else and they’ve had 3 months to sort it out when we applied again the last time.

So we are now in blind panic. After assuming we wouldn't be moving this week, we have now been told they are trying to do simultaneous exchange and completion on Friday.
While I am excited as this was the day we wanted to move. We have lost our removals and cannot find another (have rung so many!) So are now going to have to hire two vans and load them instead. I honestly didn't think our move would be that tough, we are the main part of the chain!0 -
Currently can’t sleep I’m so angry and stressed by it! Honestly, can’t believe some people!!! Imagine setting a moving date, everyone booking removals then changing your mind!!!0

I'm trying not to have a freak out over here. I've got removals booked for tomorrow and the completion date has been agreed, but we're still not exchanged. My buyer's solicitors and my buyer are just awful. I've got visions in my head of packing up a lorry, stressing my cat out, clearing out, only for it to then fall through. It shouldn't be this hard in the days of conference calling!Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)
