My estate agent keeps making pacifying noises at me, which doesn't help. I'm willing to believe that the buyer has been ill/has a baby/has work and it's difficult to get the bank. But why would you keep someone in suspense for no reason?
Buyer is going in tomorrow to sign his contract. We've said no further prevarication is acceptable, will just have to see what tomorrow holds.
Sending good thoughts to everyone in this position. It's so stressful.

After thinking last week that my buyer's paperwork was all in order but they were just inconsiderate enough to go on holiday until Sunday, today I learn that they have engaged *another* solicitor as they have concerns about the paperwork from the lender.
I guess I need my mortgage offer extending then...Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)

Hi - first time posting in here. Things with the sale of our house seem to have slowed down now after getting off to a good start.
Our timeline so far:
22/12 - listed our house for sale
30/12 - accepted offer from FTB10/01 - viewed a house we loved with no onward chain11/01 - offer accepted
11/01 - instructed solicitor
14/01 - full mortgage application submitted
24/01 - draft contract received
25/01 - additional info requested from mortgage lender11/02 - received mortgage offer
22/02 - informed that buyers will be instructing a survey (valuation took place 2 weeks ago)
02/03 - buyers have still not arranged a survey...
03/03 - received contract & property report from solicitor
So we are ready to discuss an exchange date now for my onward purchase and are just waiting on my buyers. Does anyone know how long it might take for them to sort their survey out? Eager to be in our new house ASAP.1 -
