The NEW waiting to exchange thread...

JS21 said:Congrats to everyone that's exchanged/completed and good luck to all that are on the verge and almost there! Re-joining the thread after our last purchase fell through on 30th June after the sellers pulled out.
We are in the process of purchasing a different property, offer accepted on 11th August. So far we've signed and returned contract pack and transfer forms, had all enquiries answered, final search came back today (no issues), mortgage offer received today and report on this received from conveyancer and broker (no issues) so apart from waiting on the hard copy to come through the post in the next few days for us to sign and send, we're almost there to talk dates and hopefully complete by end of month! The property we're purchasing has no onward chain and we don't qualify for the HTB isa bonus so no further applications there, so fingers crossed, we could potentially complete in time before Stamp Duty reductions end!1 -
Thanks @ss2020jd sounds like you're close now. I hope people start talking to each other for you so you can get exchanged!
Time for a cheeky Tuesday vino I think... Not much I can do about the situation at the moment but wait it out.
I've been told it's a simple probate and they are wanting to complete end of October but not counting my chickens just yet....1 -

We are so close to exchange now but waiting on one piece of information, from our Leasholder's Managing Agent, to confirm that I am up to date on ground rent. He seems incapable of responding to emails ?!?!
Buyer's solicitor refusing to accept my bank statement showing the payment as proof. So I am not holding out much hope of completing before the end of the month !0 -

Congrats to everyone who’s managed to get over the line in the last few days. I’m still waiting for an exchange and completion date but it should be imminent. Who else is hoping to complete before the end of September?Luckily I’ll have an overlap with my flat so don’t have to physically move on completion day but as the time ticks on I’m getting more anxious!28th April - MIP submitted and issued
23rd June - Offer Finally Accepted On A House!
23rd June - Full application submitted through broker
19th July - Mortgage offer received
23rd July - Draft contract received
26th July - Searches requested
2nd August - Survey completed0 -
Since our survey came back with only a few potential worries (but honestly nothing I'm really worried about) we booked to go for a second viewing last night to measure up a few bits and honestly just to have a look at the house again haha! It was the first time we've seen the house since July, and I'm so glad we did. I still love it, it felt bigger than I even remembered and have all my paint swatches ready to go! We're just waiting on the last searches and 4 enquiries before we're ready to exchange, and since I don't want to exchange until October (having an op next week), I'm really hopeful that the next few weeks will fly by.
If you're stuck in limbo and not much is moving, I'd definitely recommend booking another viewing if you can - my excitement has reignited!2 -

Our buyers' mortgage offer was due back on Monday, potentially pending a valuation for here, as he's remortgaging. We heard nothing...
The rest of the chain was due an update by midday today. We're being chased hard for it.
Our estate agent has just emailed that she has been trying to contact him all week, but with no luck, and she's "so very sorry". In a paragraph by itself... It's given me such a bad feeling.Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0
