Can anyone advise on how long the wait normally is on the buyer's solicitor receiving information from the vendor's solicitor?
I'm a FTB so not sure what time scales are usual

The sellers solicitor and estate agents have both said our solicitor is the worse they have ever dealt with... good luck to anyone else exchanging or completing today.0

Congrats to all successful today and good luck to all still waiting!1 -
all of a sudden out of nowhere, my GF's buyers (who have been told the sale is off) have said they want to complete on Monday. So for the sake of a few days, we will incur £17,600 or early repayment fees and stamp duty - both of which would have been avoided had they not messed us around so much.
Our solicitor doubts very much that it will complete on Monday as it would require same day exchange and completion and the inept buyers solicitor has not even requested the mortgage funds yet.
Half tempted to tell them where to get off. Very frustrating.

So looks like we may be able to exchange on 13th and complete on 17th. How are you booking removals as can't book until exchange etc0

so update on my situation, I spoke to Broker and we decided I will re apply via Halifax instead of Barclays and that application went through yesterday and this morning E Serv were booked for valuation for Tuesday. So far much better experience as Barclays took 15 days for valuation to happen and ended up with Legal and General doing valuation. E Serv I hear are faster at getting report back to lender normally same day as valuation so I hope Halifax gets back to me 24 hours after and its not down valued by 50k or similar again.1
