I think we are on similar timescales. Only I'm a buyer! I need to phone my solicitors today to chase after being blanked from two emails requesting updates. They were waiting for one search to come back at the beginning of last week but I've heard nothing since. Really hoping to complete before the end of the month but they won't commit to anything its so frustrating.  

Anyone any advice on how I approach the conversation today, last update was they were waiting on a third party so hands were tied. I've been up front from the beginning about hoping to complete by the end of the month, my sellers will be ready from 17th Sept onwards.

First attempt to exchange today failed because my buyer (bottom of chain)'s funds hadn't reached his solicitor. Apparently they 'hope' to receive them in early part of this afternoon but I feel like I can write off today entirely

Congrats to all successful today and good luck to all still waiting!

Hi quite possibly we sold our house and reserved a new build On July 14th 
waiting for two enquirie reply’s on the purchase then it’ll be final review signing and dates

our buyers solicitors don’t seem great and are delaying the whole chain

Finally exchanged and completed today, now gathering together cleaning stuff to to start scrubbing the place top to bottom.

Mine were good and really responsive at the beginning, now it's getting to the nitty gritty end they've gone silent. Hoping it all of a sudden comes together.

Feeling the same way currently. Due to complete next Friday but no exchange date and can’t get a hold of my solicitors or the estate agent! 

I could've written your posts, @heartofzinc & @Oscarboi76 - our solicitors are atrocious at communication! Also meant to be completing on the 10th, no clue of exchange date or if it is even going ahead at this point as they're just ignoring us, even though we really need to know either way...

So frustrating isn’t it! I’ve finally managed to speak to someone and they said it’s still happening but still no exchange date just that it will be early next week.

Email from solicitors today to say that 4 weeks after ordering searches, they are still waiting for answers. Did get answers to a couple of enquiries from the survey so some positive news.
