I'm new to this but thought I would post... we don't really know the process as we are FTB.. we put offer in on a house on 12th June and our mortgage was approved on the 23rd June.. was really pleased with how quick that was as I had read lots of posts on decisions taking forever... but now have no idea how long this next process will take. the house we are buying isn't in a chain as they have inherited a house they moving into and as we in rented I'm hoping this will be a good thing... are anyone else in a similar stage ?0

@mat1964 I would dump that buyer you've been messed around so long by them. I know this has been going on a long time, can't your gf tell the EA she no longer accepts the offer?
Whole thing has been totally surreal. This couple were the first viewers back in March, made an offer based on one short viewing, took 3 months to get a mortgage offer, haven't bothered with any sort of survey, just the basic mortgage valuation and have been mostly non contactable. She lives in quite a popular area, so I am sure it would all have been done and dusted now with different buyers. Meanwhile, the EA refuses to show anyone else round and a new agent is not going to take it on unless she formally withdraws acceptance of the offer and stops the process (it may come to that soon).1 -
