I'm waiting for the call today to exchange (fingers crossed) with a proposed date of next Friday for the move.

    It's a somewhat nervous day!
Eek our timeline is the same lol I'm waiting on that phone call too to complete next Friday! Good luck! Have your mortgage funds been confirmed? Last I heard on Wednesday was that solicitor was just waiting for confirmation of funds being released in time.

9 weeks in today and my buyer has pulled out (not to do with SDLT)
I am beyond gutted. Relocating is stressful enough
So sorry, hope you manage to find something else. Its all so stressful at the best of times.

Hey guys, who did you contact to push for an estimated completion date? Solicitor or Estate Agent?
Am still at enquiries but most now are down to freeholder and management company (leasehold flat) want to complete by end of July ideally.

    TIA

I've just been told we need to speak to solicitor in person or via video call. Oh is working all day and gets 2x15 min breaks. I doubt he will be able to call so I guess we will exchange Monday instead 🤣

Ohh good luck for your exchange!
We have a tiny possibility of exchanging today, if we manage to send over the document signed by the solicitor appointed by my boyfriend, but his appointment is at 2, so not sure there will still be enough time! Otherwise hopefully Monday. I didn't want to stress about it again, but I feel rather tense!

Thanks, my partner doesn't always check his phone when at work so there's a strong chance he won't see my 5 messages 🤣🤣 I think Monday seems more likely. Good luck for you!

I've just sent a sternly worded email to my solicitor basically asking him to get his finger out (more politely than that though) as they are still waiting on the LA to answer one enquiry.  LA have been sitting on it for almost 2 months and my solicitor only chases them when I chase him.

Totally and utterly fed up with this now.

Sorry to hear some of you are also still waiting or have had bad news.  Hopefully things will come right for all of us at some point <3
