Haven’t heard from the solicitor, even after the email I sent after I sent the deposit. So I tried to call her: no answer. I have absolutely no clue if she’s ready to exchange and when is she intending to do it. I have no idea simply why it is so difficult, since everything is supposed to be ready, I have no chain and I’m buying an empty property! And in the meantime the weeks are passing with no reason.Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:

Anyone know when you HAVE to vacate? My removal company suggest not arriving until 11 and being done by 12.30....as we are the 4th transaction and they say if we're packed with up and out by 11 we might not get keys until 3 and that's a big wait (with a charge!)
Need to speak to my solicitor I think!0 -
My friends were advised they had until the contracted time, despite when the monies went through... I will check my solicitor but thanks...0

Need to speak to my solicitor I think! My point is, perhaps removals are not Starting at 8am in the morning at the moment due to the massive bank / solicitor delays.Or perhaps your removal teams are moving someone else first and slotting you in later?I would say it’s because of late completions...
give you agent a call and ask what time most completions are going through, if the majority of them is after lunch then you will probably will be ok with 11am
hope that helps.0 -

Our searches have started today on the property we are purchasing but purchasing the freehold at the same time.
We received the management pack on 30/04 and still waiting on enquiries to be answered which were raised just after. Thought we'd be in by now! So timescales are so hard to judge. Roughly, on a good time scale 12-14 weeks.
I'm selling a leasehold and tomorrow will be 20 weeks since I accepted the offer. The management pack came back relatively quickly but the enquiries are interminable, mainly because my freeholder is the Local Authority and they never do anything with any sort of urgency.Hope your purchases are both quicker than my sale is currently taking!
We had our offer accepted in February and i thought we'd be in by the end of June latest but god knows anymore. They still have our lifetime ISA's to apply for the money and stuff, so i don't think it'll be anytime soon.
Hope they respond to you soon.EA was hoping for this week but I knew it wouldn't happen because it's half-term and everyone seems to be on holiday. I'm hoping we're almost there, I think there are only 2 outstanding queries left. I was hoping to be out by early May, but hey ho.I don't suppose it can hurt to give them a call very innocently enquiring if they've gone back to your solicitor yet. Thanks, hope you get positive news soon too

Also should say, my friend had completed on her sale but was still waiting for funds to be received at her vendors solicitor even though it was sent after lunch. Her solicitor told her not to release the keys to her buyer until her onward purchase keys were released as otherwise she would be technically homeless.0
