New here - Given all the dates in signature as found that useful on others.
Excited that our new home will have the Homebuyers survey completed Wednesday.
We plan to have this back then view for a second time to double check over anything that is highlighted - scary choosing a house based on less than 30 mins in a house. I want to try the toilets, taps, lift up carpets etc. Mainly because our youngest managed to smash our toilet and meant we have had to replace - gutted when only going to be here a max 3 more months.
Been concerned early on because the our buyers (we had a choice of 8) took a little time to get the ball rolling, we accepted the offer on 4th Feb and they got he mortgage sorted on 23rd March - 47 days. Where as our offer was accepted 16th March and accepted 26th March - 10 days.

All this waiting is driving me nuts, another day without exchanging.

Thurs - originally due to exchange but top of chain decided they weren't happy with the completion date.

Friday - New completion date agree and expected to exchange. Nothing from solicitor.

Today - Email from solicitor requesting permission to exchange, consent given. Nothing from solicitor.

I assume we will try this all again tomorrow.

If they’re awaiting their mortgage offer surely they’ve not yet done searches etc? 

We were told that they have had the searches done and that they had one enquiry outstanding last week. I too thought that it's strange only getting mortgage now

We sent the documents in the post Friday to arrive to the solicitor this morning (got them tracked). We’ve also sent over the deposit to the solicitors today. It’s been silence since, waiting to hear if they received the documents, if they are ok, and if they received the money. This is scary not knowing.

We are supposed to be exchanging and completing on Wednesday. Well that’s the idea, who knows really.

Thanks I was thinking maybe they were refused a previous mortgage and have applied for another or the company they are using are really slow who knows thanks again
