I really like that idea too - my problem with pot noodles is that most of them have wheat in and the Itsu etc rice noodle version is expensive, but that's very doable - thanks Lucifa :)

What about gazpacho soup? As it is served cold anyway then leaving it sitting to go "cold" whilst working will make no difference & if done from a cup doesn't need the involvement of a spoon. So reduced prep time.

I did not know you could do that !

Mind you given that I just had baked beans on toast for dinner no one should be surprised. I do love beans on toast.

I could do that, it is like making a cup of tea. With bits. And I could finish it off period 6.

    :T

Happy to help. I've even done it with part cooked pasta and made a chunky minestrone that way. Once you have the knack of it you can mix it up as the mood takes you. If you google 'Home made pot noodle' there's loads of inspiration.

  • Today I am depressed and a little bit broken. It is raining which means everything for the outside is soaked. It is supposed to stop I guess but.........

I think today I shall tackle the downstairs.

I am so miserable tho. Don't get me wrong I have had some excellent fun this summer but really I should have made moving the rabbits out a priority above all else as they are the thing that upsets me so much.

which I know sounds ridiculous! but if you could see the mess you would understand!

Aw Buffy. It is normal to be a bit sad after a big weekend and the weather won't be helping any :grouphug:. Think about what you HAVE achieved - the fence to screen out a dreadful neighbour, support to your Mum and sister, fun times with friends. ( And now you have discovered healthy pot noodles!! The world is your oyster :p)

In all seriousness - take time to take a breath and then ... just keep swimming.

Glad you had a lovely time at the wedding, not good about the bride breaking her ankle, how awful.

Sorry to hear BIL is back in hospital - at least they'll get him sorted out though.

I think you've achieved a lot this summer - and you do it all on your own which is very impressive.

I live on soup for work lunches and make a big batch on a Sunday to last all week, we have a microwave though so it's easy to heat up. The noodles sound like a great idea.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Thanks XXX

I should feel more positive. Am just disappointed in myself. Like today. I didn't get ANY THING done.

Tomorrow is pretty much D Day. Clear side, tidy up and rearrange the conservatory. Should go to bed early.

  • Forgot to say

    I sold a hutch (£30) and a mirror (£5) on FB.

that is going in a jar.... for something.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

SA - Do you freeze it? I also make a batch of soup for the week. I freeze a couple of portions for Thursday and Friday though (and take them out on a Wednesday evening), as I get worried it'll be "off" after about three days. They are a bit gritty after freezing though so would prefer not to!
