  • Party was so much fun. It was lovely to see my friends from here :) Really lovely. I went on a bouncy castle :):) It was brilliant fun. Drank loads, had a dance, ate lovely food. So happy for my newly married friend (apart from her hurting her foot so badly she ended up in A and E - it looked so bad, hope the painkillers are working XXX)

I was so knackered when I got home I went to bed!

That is it now, I have one week left till I am back at work so it is now baton down the hatches and crack on with prep and tidying.

I decided on the train on the way down that my biggest issue at the moment is the house. So I shall work on that this week. I believe the weather will be reasonable - unlike today! I mean REALLY who needs that much rain!!!

Glad you had fun, but yes, very ouch to Ks poorly ankle!

Are the rabbits outside yet? How's the neighbour now?

  • Neighbour cannot be seen due to fence which is fab, he has caused no more trouble since it went up. He has gone generally a bit wrong tho, grown an enormous white beard and seems to have stopped getting his haircut and his car has disappeared. All very odd. He still walks the dog.

Today I am tackling the outside housing for the rabbits. Aiming to finish the insulation in the shed and get some of the roof on in the Aviary.

Mum is having issues with her laptop.

    See you all later

    Much later XXXX

Today was a mare! I pushed on but haven't made much progress, I emptied the shed (! I have bought a LOT of stuff for the rabbits!!!!)

It kind of popcorned out of the shed across the garden. I lost the staple gun, the secateurs (I didn't know how to spell that so if it isn't anything to do with gardening it is the wrong word) the scissors (!!!!!! do they have a magic disappearing gift!?) and my mind when I found about 50 billion spiders.....

AND THEN. The corner of the (poxy irritating STUPID) shed has got wet and is damp. Not yet rotten but not good.

And then I got mad. Pushed the shed back on the slabs (think that is why it is wet - it fell off) And will attempt to either gravel or slab the surrounding bits so it has a base if it moves again. And I am going to paint the damp bit with some wet wood strengthener probably toxic but hey ho!

And then insulate it, clean the floor, cover the insulation, take the door off, cut it in half, re hang the bloody thing so it fits. put on locks.

At some point I will have to put the cat flap on the shed... not sure about that...

Screw batons on for shelves. Put up shelves with the legs from an old desk, add in small table, ramp and hides. Extra wire on the windows. Debating if I should put the plastic in? I might do... not going to be massively warm now...

Screw on fronts for shelves and maybe paint them.... paint the furniture.

Wait for it to dry......and start to prep the outside.

(I know this has nothing to do with money!)

    Outside,

Fix wire roof and then plastic roof, leaving one bit of wood long for a bird feeder. clear the grass area, and dig it over, wire tunnel thing to the side. Add edging to the outside. Find the rest of the "stuff"

Add a box of grass, plants some seeds?

Fix the lock on the door. clean up generally.

    I do need to buy

    1. the wood treatment
    2. compost
    3. turf??
    4. gravel
    5. more compost.
    6, hinges.

Glad you had a fab time. I was gutted not to go. Can't believe the bride broke her ankle! It looked so bad!

Back to lunch - cuppa soup is WAY better than slim fast! I also make my own pot noodles - dead easy, prep the night before and just pour on boiling water when you are ready for lunch. Really easy to change the flavours too. Just pop a 'nest' of noodles at the bottom of a tub ( I use one of those clip it soup mugs), add veg (super thin carrot/mushrooms/frozen peas/par boiled broccoli work well), add protein (leftover chicken for example) add a sauce (hoisin or similar) and some miso to flavour the stock. Just fill with boiling water at lunch time, stand for maybe 5 mins until the noodles are soft then eat.

I did not know you could do that !

Mind you given that I just had baked beans on toast for dinner no one should be surprised. I do love beans on toast.

I could do that, it is like making a cup of tea. With bits. And I could finish it off period 6.

    :T
