Just cashed out another £5 amazon voucher from swag bucks and added the first one to my account. That's double my aim for august and it's only the 7th
hoping to get enough to get a few Christmas pressies for the youngest.

Hi everyone everything still just ticking along here.
I'm out of wipes but hubby has my car so they will have to wait until tomorrow. I might even have a packet in the car when he gets home. So I'm aiming for a nsd.
Gonna meal plan for the rest of the week at some point today.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Spent £17.08 last night in Asda mostly on milk, bread and cereal. Planning a trip to lidl tomorrow for the super sat mince, nappies, wipes and some baking stuff.
Ordered the parts for my car so I've added £210 to my Debenhams credit cardit had to be done and along with the interest paid puts me back to where I was at the start of the month.
In laws got an unexpected bill so now can't buy the kids school shoes, which is completely ok after all it's not their responsibility to buy my kids shoes but it means I have another thing to pay out in the next few days.
NSD today.
The credit card I closed last month owes me £21 so thats win.DEC GC £463.67/£450

That's not too bad on reflection that you're still up
There's always a set back to be had but it will get easier to take the further through your journey you are and the more prepared with emergency funds.
In terms of school shoes, we went to a Clark's outlet in a place near us and got my son's school shoes for £23 which is better than the £40 we were expecting them to cost. Is that an option? Shame that your inlaws had to pull out of buying them but, as you say, it can't be helped. Rather they were honest than got into debt themselves to honour a promise, which is something I'd probably do!CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

Well sadly they are in debt it just all came to a head and they had to face up to it. We do have a clarks outlet but they never have anything for kids.
I"m having a slight school shoe dilemma aswell, my 2 bigger boys attend an learning support unit, it was recently refurbished and they only wear school shoes in the morning and home and change into trainers/gym shoes in class to save the floors. So I'm considering cheaping out and getting them a cheap pair each, they aren't the play outside kind of children anyway so won't destroy them. But I'd have to buy my middle child good shoes as he's in them all day and it very hard on shoes and that seems unfair so I'm unsure. I could cheap out and buy them all cheap shoes until the next clark sale I suppose but then I might not have the money.
Our clarks outlet is rubbish it only has ladies and mens shoes and a few bags, I've never been able to find them any shoes in there.
I'm still aiming to pay my vanquis card off, if I can I'll have cleared £950 off it which isn't to be sniffed at. I could have spent the money from paying it off on my car parts but then I'd have had the whole interest of that card next month at £46, I hope that makes sense but there is more method in my madness. :rotfl: just mentally adding money to my credit card is painful!DEC GC £463.67/£450
