I don't think they actually needed a new mattress, it was just a lie to get a new computer.Trying to sort my life out, and I'm going to get there!0 -

Well I don't really interact with his family, I go round to the house and stay in his room (use the loo if really desperate!). It's very hard to hold my tongue though, I just want to tell her exactly what I think but it'd probably end up in a fight! I have to keep quiet for my boyfriends sake really.
Tete I know they should ask for them, it's unfair on people that really NEED the money.Trying to sort my life out, and I'm going to get there!0 -
Poor you gems. What a situation to be in.
I agree - the council should ask for receipts! What a good idea! Now why hasn't this been implemented before? Tete - please go & work for the council!! Immediately!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Madness isn't it! You would think they would already have a system like this in place.Trying to sort my life out, and I'm going to get there!0 -
This would have made me so mad:mad: that I would have dobbed them into the council and the tax man if she is not declaring income and god knows what else.
I have a friend who comes from a very similar background, she was the only one in her family (two other siblings) to stay on at school and to even bother turning up regularly, her sister has never had a job (mid 20s) and her thirty something brother works 2 days a decade and she hardly has anything to do with them as she is disgusted by that and her parents lack of work ethic. Her family of course think shes a complete snob and that they have the right ideaDebt Free - done

She's been grassed up loads of times about the hairdressing, she was boasting to me about it! But they can't/won't do anything unless they catch her doing it and actually receiving payment.
