Worried about health of friend and children

Haven't read all the replies sorry but I would phone social services NOW - a 2 year old should NOT be scavenging food that has fallen from a bin when she is getting 50k in benefits a year. Disgusting. She obviously cannot be bothered to organise herself which is fine but its NOT fair on 4 small children.0

Thanks for replying. I have informed them and they are going to visit her and see if she is ok. I wouldn't say it was scavenging as such, but he shouldn't have had access to the old food in the first place.0

Only in the sense that you seem to be disproportionately concerned about the woman rather than her poor little kids who appear from your description to be living in a squalid/dangerous environment with none of their physical/emotional needs being met, despite the fact that their mother is raking in a fortune in benefits.
It just makes me wonder what your motives are tbh. IMO, a woman would be more likely to be fighting in the children's corner rather than the mother's - I know I would.0 -
I too would be seriously concerned about the OPs (and his partners) friend. Neither do we want to be the ones who are responsible for our friend's children being taken away from them. Especially if it sounds like post natal depression.
I'm just hoping that the accusation was made tongue in cheek as MAY be worthy of a cheeky monkey.0 -
Cheeky Monkey - slightly harsh as my whole family have been trying to help. The hope was that by getting the new house/better conditions and some more income she would be able to live somewhat better. This hasn't really happened - hence the original post and the continued concern. If it's PND then she needs the support in order to be able to support her own family.
She has a number of friends that haven't done anything, ignore it (or are the same?). Definitely worried about the children otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned them.
Will see what the support services do.0 -
Update - Child services are now involved.0
