I love your philosophy and have been unconsiously folowing it for years!
Making soup in the slow cooker and then hanging out the washing before shampooing my hair and then popping to the shops.
Might make broccoli bake as well if I can be bothered and stuffed tortillas for anyone turning up their nose at my soup!"This site is addictive!"

Hello all,
Have not been around for a couple of days as OH took me on holiday (to the Lake District)
. It was very nice and now I feel very refreshed and motivated
We have decided to change jobs for various reasons - the plan is just to do any work for a little while to keep the money coming in, whilst we try and figure out a way of working for ourselves. I would like to start cooking things for a living e.g. chutneys, preserves etc, but am not sure if H & S would pass our kitchen. Will have to look into it.
I cannot see PenPin's post??? Hugs to you anyway
Have done 3 loads of washing, as is a glorious day here. Will do the washing up in a second
have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Amie, hope that something nice is CocaCola - you really shouldn't drink alcohol after giving blood!
Donny-gal, thanks but my OH is very well house trained. His Mum died when he was 13 and he's always done his own cooking and ironing. He's just had a lot of work to do from home since we moved in and I'm trying to be the 'good housewife' and not let him spend time on washing up and ironing for now, but I'm knackered. Went home last night, got din ready to put on, hung up the ironing I did when I popped home at lunchtime, hung the washing out which I put in the machine at lunchtime, cleaned the bathroom from top to bottom and was in bed by 8.30 (albeit with a DVD) then he woke me at 11 coming to bed and again at 6.30 getting up. I really must learn to sleep through anything. I'm not used to sleeping with him 'full-time' so I struggle to sleep in on the edge that he leaves me instead of spreading myself across a double bed like I used to at home.
Never mind, he's out tonight and away tomorrow night, so I'll catch up on my sleep in time for next week!0 -

Blairweech,
I can see her post, just check you haven't accidentally put Penpin on your ignore list, I wanted to put someone on my ignore list and hit the wrong user name a while back, it took me some time to work out why I could see the troll of a poster and not the person some people were referring to in a thread I was reading a while back.
HTH.
Forget the above, I can't see her post now I have refreshed the page."Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. Nothing does, except wrinkles. It's true, some wines improve with age. But only if the grapes were good in the first place." — Abigail Van Buren0 -

This morning was an expensive waste of time energy and fuel......no instruction, just sit and make a card from this tenplate which was photocopied onto paper and was almost impossible to trace round accuratly....I would have been better getting a book out of the library.....so not a happy bunny £7.50 and 3 hours down the pan............

Hi everyone. Just feeling well enough to post on here. Have felt really lousy lately but nothing compared to PENPIN so (((hugs))) by the thousand to you, PEN. In fact, I've set up a daily direct debit of (((hugs))) to you. I don't know how you cope living with illness all the time. I really admire you.
Welcome to all newbies. I've missed a lot of the thread lately but I'm sure I'll get to know you all soon!
CSARINA - hope SIL recovers soon. That sounds horrible.
CATOWEN - enjoy your day and hope you feel better soon.
AUSSIE - enjoy your DGS!
Well done on becoming a blood-donor, Amie. I have just been invited to my first session and will let you know how I get on. It's something I know I should have done years ago. Blood is constantly in need and it will be good to know I may help save someone's life. I intend to carry on donating until they tell me I'm too old (which I believe is when I'm 59 so - just a few more years left!).
I started writing this two hours ago then got interrupted so have probably missed even more of the thread now!
Well, I'm dying for a cuppa so I'm off to put the kettle on. Will call in later but, meanwhile, (((hugs))) to everyone in need.
