    Morning all,

I haven't been on for a couple of days because I've been looking after my little 'broken wing' as his brother has taken to calling him.

He is recovering well. He wanted to go back to school yesterday (not because he wanted to get back to the work, but just because he wanted to show off his shoulder to wrist bandage) so against my better judgment I allowed him to go. I think it was a mistake as he was tired, sore and tearful yesterday afternoon. He seemed perkier this morning so hopefully he'll have a better day and then he'll have the weekend to recuperate properly.

Shez, I'm so sorry that you're feeling rubbish right now. You shouldn't...you come across as such a lovely, fun person on here and there have been many times when you've brightened my day! As for meal planning, I never have done and I doubt I ever will do. I'm just not organised enough. We also live in a house that's too small for us and I drive a very old, knackered ka, but it does the job. I bake, clean, tidy etc when I can/feel in the mood to, and don't when I don't! My one OS saving grace is that I love cooking, but even that loses its appeal at times with fussy kids and family timetables to work around. The important thing for us is that most of the time we're happy. You and your family come across that way too. Don't compare yourself to others....just think of what you do for and mean to your own family. No one else matters. (((Hugs))).
Mrs Mcawber,, glad you got on ok at the dentist.
Amie, good to see you back.
dogrose, congratulations on winning the holiday.
Catowen, sorry to hear you’re feeling under the weather… try to enjoy your day off.
charlies mum, have a great time!
Nelski, enjoy your day watching men in shorts. I know exactly what you mean about skips!

I spoke to Haribo late last night........ She was frantically ironing/packing/panicking and generally trying to sort out 101 things all at once. I hope that she and dbil will have a great time in [strike]Newcastle, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Birmingham, London, Glasgow[/strike] or wherever they end up! Knowing my lovely sister, (who has an uncanny knack of accidentally creating havoc, wherever she goes), you'll probably read all about it in the papers! :D

Actually, mad mare that she is, I couldn’t have got through this week without her….so thank you so much Haribo for everything. xxx

Nothing much planned for today....the house could do with a really good clean, but I am sooooo tired and don't know if I'll find the motivation to do it. I'm making breast of lamb for tea (got two of them reduced to £1 each!) so I'll have to make stuffing for those later. Then I'm out to work tonight. After this week, I am really really really looking forward to my seven days off!

I hope you all have a good day.

    Take care,

    Pink

    Morning all

did you miss me? Nah, thought not.

Nelski- your house sounds like mine, we're in week 5 of the new kitchen story. Walls MUST be painted by thursday (only 2 more coats of emulsion to do) woodwork MUST be fitted and painted by thursday, floor MUST be sanded and varnished by thursday. We're out most of saturday for MIL and FIL 40th anniversary, I'm still dying of the cold, I don't think it will happen. I can see some midnight painting coming on!

IT WILL ALL BE WORTH IT IN THE END. we ordered the flippin thing in June - and here we are panicking at the end. Men!

Other than that not a lot going on. I'm not dusting, there is plaster everywhere, but there will be sawdust everywhere on sunday - so I'm waiting til monday to dust the lot. It's getting me down a bit, btu ITWILL ALL BE WORTH IT IN THE END!

Twink - hope Kyle is having a good time. My Sis has just come back from working in Epcot for the year. Seems no matter how long you go for it's never enough - even a year!

Hugs to all. Shez- I know those feelings. Take care of yourself.

  • Morning everyone :)

Feeling a wee bit grouchy this morning, seem to have pulled a muscle in my back  I know in the grand scheme of life a painful back for a few days isn't exactly much but it blinking well hurts at the moment :D Getting dressed this morning was fun - got a nice lunch to go to today so wanted to make an effort - but nearly fell flat on my face trying to do my legs and then put my trousers on :rotfl: If I don't move it's ok, guess I'll just have to sit here at the computer all day then...Asked OH to get some prawns out of the freezer for tonight's dinner - which he promptly then forgot to do...think I'll whack him over the head with the bag when we get home :D

Hope you all have a good day today, ((((HUGS)))) and kisses to all that want/need them as always.

    Hello everybody,

DGS arrived safe and sound just after 2pm. XDIL said he had been chanting Ninny (me) all the way. :D Bless. Not Poppa I might add. ;) He's a bit overtired atm and he & Poppa are reading a book and hopefully, fingers crossed he'll be asleep. He didn't like the chard frittata I made  but loved the oven chips & corn cobs. DH going to the mainland tomorrow for materials for the day in Bombi.

Back again. It's now 8.30pm and DGS just fell asleep. Must be all the excitement. Well off for a bit of a surf before going to bed. Hope you all have a nice day. Byeeeeeeeeeeee

Sorry to hear that PP. ((((hugs)))
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
