    Yesterday:

    What went out:

Hair appointment - my hair is the one thing I try and keep looking smart, cut and colour - I am not sure what my hair colour is now, very dark lifeless blonde I think at the back and very gray streaked at the front. I have it bleached. I go to the non trendy salon in the village and for Surrey they are very reasonable rates however, although budgeted it is 3 figures which I know will shock many.

    Options

    1. Stop colouring and let live! I have done this in the past and I got very depressed as it looked awful

    2. Home colouring - can’t do it physically

    3. College - but that’s 30mins away and I don’t physically think I can manage it, OH will drop me in the village and they are very good if I have to cancel.

    4. It’s budgeted and I have to except the cost.

Yesterday I also paid for a hair product so I can boost my blow dry, which I do one handed with a hot brush as I cant use my right hand to hold a brush / hair dryer with dexterity.

Lunch - meal deal with C@@p no good re SW but I was too short of time to go home and I swerved costalotta.

Chemist - supported our local one and bought things for the refuge box and bits we needed including a new insole and foam padding to put in my new boots.

New boots - I bought a new pair at the beginning of the summer for the winter they have to go to surgical appliances at the hospital to be built up - I have a 3/4 inch leg difference. I use to go to the local cobblers and pay on top so this is a saving as they do two pairs a year for free, and are much better as they have more sophisticated tools for the types of moulding you get today. I then have to pad out the right shoe as I’m 2 sizes smaller. I finally got to the hospital to have them done.

Refuge box - I spotted that I could send nearly new make up to a domestic abuse charity - I made a couple of mistake buys in the summer, so they’ve gone in a box together with an old iPhone, a an ancient but working kindle, a reindeer little key ring speaker ( which has a jack so I can’t use) and my Fitbit. Together with from yesterday a pineapple bath sponge, toothbrush, toothpaste and bath gel to pad the box out. I take the view, that yes life is challenging for me I. So many ways but I do have a lovely home and DH and furrbabies I am always safe and warm. All these things well apart from the reindeer are on their list of things they gladly take.

I know perhaps these spends should go on my debt, but at this time of year need to think about others.

It was quiz night last night - I stayed home to be with BEC ( beloved elderly cat ) so saved 6 plus money on a drink so at least £10 and I ate out the freezer.

Vets bills - my Dad has been very generous, and it has covered Tuesdays bill of £280, vets last night said bill could keep until tonight, we have some left over to contribute.

OH had booked into the local weatherspoons by his office which is an hour away from home for his Christmas party tonight but he’s cancelled it and the party and he’s putting the refund towards his clothes debt on the credit card, paid for from his pocket money account.

Finally I paid myself for Nov bookkeeping and I paid this straight off to the 2017 debt as planned.

Now I have got to work out how I do the hours I’ve missed this morning.......

Think I will try and get up now.

    Dear Diary and friends

Just a little update .... I am in the dog house with BEC, as I took him to the vets again.

However vet is happier especially when he peed over him :rotfl::rotfl: he couldn’t yesterday.

He does seem brighter tonight although punishing me by not craving cuddles, little one obliged though.

Had a glass of wine and cried during I’m a celebrity.

    Stuck to menu plan...

So all we spent was settling vets bill which was eye watering, but worth it and Daddy has helped a lot.

    I’m emotionally rung out....night night

Just have to report.... sneaked on to the bed for two cuddles last night, his wee is looking clearer less pink, he’s trotted through to his bowls for breakfast but demanded to go out first ( to make room ;)) BEC will not use litter trays

Oh tried to encourage him to eat brekkie and he’s turned his nose up and has gone to hide - he loves his food so that’s not good

Me on the other hand, had a massive panic attack about loss in bed last night, and feel rung out

Not long after I write this mornings post, we realised things were very wrong.

This morning darling Gaston baby went over the rainbow bridge, he will be forever in my heart, a loyal friend and companion.

We have spent the day, sorting the aftermath mostly cleaning,. Including removing very soiled carpet from a cupboard that houses washing machine and litter box, no easy task but we were stubborn.

    A run into the village:

    1. Duvet to dry cleaners post accidents last night
2, carpet cleaner and food waste bags
    3. Sausage/bacon sarnies from cafe, to fuel us.
    4. Carrots for soup

Then off plan a velour red jumpsuit from the boutique

    5. Our appetites were shot so I afraid it was kebabs for tea

    From z4 we’ve watched tv, master chef x 2 24 hrs x 2 a war fiilm with John Gregson and I’m a celebrity.

Not sure what tonight holds as Miss Furbaby slept with BEC rather than the young pretender.... all doors are open tonight.

In-laws pop in for coffee in the morning.

Night night, I am raising a glass of rum and coke, to my BEC who was truly loved. :(

    Evening all

Sitting here waiting for Hubbie to join to watch catch up on my lap top as we can’t get latest celebrity on the Tav catch up ! Virgin is pants

    It’s been a quiet day.

Late start, in-laws popped in for coffee on their way to Southampton from Norfolk.

I mostly did craft based stuff, as well as sorting the bookshelves with additional shelves.

    Fairly wiped out.

    No spending, didn’t go anywhere

OH went out to some hustings, I watched another John Gregson film and master chef...

Cuddles with the young pretender was lovely, but I so missed BEC - my OH words of incoming before he descended

    Evening all

Quick update form me as life as always is busy..

Yesterday I went to stay goodbye to the family home, it’s being sold this week after 32 years, moved in when I was 18 and really I wanted to stay in Essex but it wasn’t possible to move out and live independently then, so I moved, and all I really felt was trapped until I moved out 6 years later including a respite period away at Uni, both my Grandmother and Mother died there, so all in all I’m not really bothered does that sound awful? My Dad moves into rented as the flat he is buying he can’t complete on, as probate hasn’t gone through

Dad treated us to lunch in a lovely vineyard restaurant it was lovely quality food, but sadly served Lukewarm, too concerned with a pretty plate ( all the carrots were standing up like soldiers .

Went off planed budget, used dads discount card and bought a bottle of fizz and I spotted a cat themed notebook that OH bought as we are doing stockings for a up to £10 each., so that’s mine with a pen and a choc orange. ( I love stationery )

Made do supper at home rather than going via M & S

Today was another make do day, for all three meals eating out the freezer, had run out of milk so went on way back from meeting resisted any temptations and a poinsettia for £8.

    Total HK spend 50p.

However when pulling up the carpet on Friday, we realised washing machine is really leaking and we can’t have that with new flooring. We know really it needed renewing, so we have ordered a new one... really didn’t want to - deepest sigh.

Also the duvet cover once washed also couldn’t be recovered so that’s gone in the rag bag......

    Doesn’t rain but it pours.

In other news oestopath has paid me :T:T - so this will go off the 2017 debt.

OH has also found that my battery to my bath hoist has died, we need it for holiday so that’s been ordered at around £40.00

It’ a baked beans on toast month....
