    Dear Diary and friends

Well is it third, fourth, fifth time - I’m a boomerang and I’m back.....

Sitting here in my pjs, onesie and dressing gown with kitten on my lap, watching this weeks :money: programme.

OH is across the road it’s our roads switch on lights evening, but for various reasons I didn’t want to be there..... and I’m determined to self nurture

We are drawing to the end of the year, and it’s not been the greatest, I’m hoping the next decade will be better, and I’m determined by the end of it we will be debt free... both credit card and mortgage...

So I’m back .... so I’m accountable and of course I’ve missed you all :T

As I have said before this is mostly joint debt, so I also respect my OH privacy by not recording the total.

However I have a new strategy to focus our attention.

Our credit card debt is on a spreadsheet broken down into the individual items, so we can see the stark reality.

I announced at last payday that I wished to target all those items relating to 2017 yes I repeat 2017. We have been chipping away at it. However I have just calculated the remaining balances and it totals £1600.19.

I have told DH That I want this paid off before the end of this year. Before we go on holiday and we have booked ourselves one night in our favourite hotel in Ipswich on our way up to East Anglia for a week in a self catering flat. If this amount of money is not paid off before we leave to go to the hotel we are going to have to cancel. This would also mean rearranging the cat sitter so it really is A target that we wish to make.

Fortunately I have some bookkeeping invoices outstanding.

The first I hope will be paid this weekend and I keep looking at my bank app. It totals the Work I do for one client a year £720.00

I now do a monthly bookkeeping job for a small dementia charity. November’s invoice £384.00

And if I juggle my hours in December this should be another £384.00.

So a total of £1488.00 this leaves us £112.19 to find. That is completely do able :T:T:T:T

However I have not told DH it’s this amount as I am also trying to stop us putting things on the card as well, apart from really necessary items... like the car service.

    Evening dear diary and friends

Update on the last couple of days.

I was very pleased with living within our means over the weekend. We kept to plan and didn’t go ofcourse.

I was out at the dementia charity Christmas party on Friday already paid for, allowed myself a budget for one drink, one was in the price, one someone got free and another was bought for me. It was a lovely evening I enjoyed it, although a little sad at the end as I felt unable to dance ( was in my wheelchair ). Went home early. To my guilty pleasure of CGMOOH. OH resisted a kebab takeaway after his meeting to hear the mp, swerved that one

Saturday I was booked into a embroidery class - this is on the cc - so I need to clear this off ASAP. Paid for an extra kit which is a present , kept lunch to basic sandwich and cuppa. Resisted taking home cake.

DH went out to the road party normally we would come back and get a takeaway, but I made risotto in my Thermomix.

Sunday, church then Sunday lunch at one of two local pubs, ( the cheaper roast of the two ) we both chose chicken ( cheapest ) and had one drink, a treat, to recognise we had so much to do at home in terms of chores and the community Christmas Day... cooking and clearing up on top, would be too much for us both.

    All spending on plan.

Today I’ve been and paid for the vinyl in our store room. It cost more to have it fitted !

Worked this morning and had a Pilates session... I’m shattered didn’t get to SW and it looks like I would have struggled to get there with lots of blue lights on the bridge ( we can see from kitchen window ).

Tonight is left over risotto - which know we need to eat but it’s doing nothing for me.....

So spending has been in budget.

I keep looking at my bank app, one client still not paid me .......

Thanks, he is clicking my back on Friday ( the oestopath ) so I can at least gentle remind him then. I’m just itching to reduce the credit card

    Hello dear diary

Life in our household is very :(:( and stressed this morning. Night before last we realised that beloved elderly cat had a lot of blood in his urine, the same in the morning, straight to the vets, for antibiotics and blood tests and then back later in day for a steroid injection. He has anaemia and his ted count is very low - :( back to vets today for tests.

The thing is he seems ok in himself, eating well, wanting cuddles, doesn’t seem in pain...... certainly a little fed up in life... well wouldn’t we be,

Seeing his lovely regular vet today, my tummy is like a washing machine.....

We have no insurance so we also have the vets bills......

In other news I drove to college yesterday, for a student voice group as class rep, I wasn’t happy, the other one, who has a lot of health issues sent her apologies at 8.45am.... with everything going on... why did she offer to be rep.......mind you why did I .... but I gritted my teeth yesterday and got on with it.

We finished at 1.15pm no lunch  we are in the middle of no where. No lunch offered

Found a lovely cafe in the neighbouring village and had a beautiful lunch but it was £ wasn’t planning and they had takeaway HM cake I bought us some, mine is still in a box as I just didn’t fancy it.

Last night we were both feeling very stressed in-laws were planning to visit on a Friday, but on top of beloved elderly cat, I have got to drive to central London on Friday for treatment on my back. Usually I go by train but they are on strike and I can’t face the battle it would be to travel using my wheelchair.

Older in-laws completely understood, verdicts out with younger ones. I feel bad for my DH as we have seen neither since July, but I need to go to London, and older in-laws are on route to Southampton and a cruise... younger ones are only up the road... we have always tried to fit in with them, but for once we have decided to put us first.

By the time we discussed it made phone calls etc, cooking dinner that neither of us fancied... shall we get takeaway.... but both agreed we need to save pennies and there was toast in freezer... so beans on toast....

At the moment, I just want to get off this roller coaster of life ..........

    Dear Diary and friends.

Life is still challenging in this household and I am writing this from my bed, as my body is in full rebellion.

Beloved elderly cat is still with us but very poorly, big problems with his bladder but what exactly is awaiting pathology results tonight. The best news would be a bacterial infection which over the next few days would respond to treatment - those who pray please do x at the end of the day I don’t want to say Goodbye now but will do what’s best for him.

I should be in work but this morning the stress of life has caught up with me.

beanielou will DM you as I don’t take medication for my spasms, and would be interested to know what you take. I woke up this morning, with my legs like jelly, and now they both feel wobbly and like lead. Plus my arms feel like that too. Not to mention a washing machine tummy where the only way to relieve the tension is d & v. Oh the delights of Adrenalin etc and not being able to regulate my body having cerebral palsy. To the outside world I look fit and healthy, but only my husband sees me behind closed doors.

I feel so useless, not being able to physically carry on with life.

Baby fur baby has Just jumped on me for a cuddle p, so lovely but also highlighting beloved elderly cat would normally be there :cry::cry:

I have many blessings but they are being crowded out today
