We did Mr Shore's car online Fortune. It was surprisingly easy to add or change a car. Not so easy is getting a response from HMRC. We've submitted two queries - one was dealt with but they don't email you, they just mark it as resolved online. Trouble is its just the code, so you then have to look up the code they gave to your query. We've found out which one hasn't been resolved, which is the one we submitted to say no tax return needed this year. We'll have to log on again and find out if they've managed to deal with that one."Think of many things, do one"
Mortgage 30 Jul'25 est. £209,749 £309,749 (aiming for sub-£200k next)

Set Back
I had a great morning yesterday. Got up and dressed, vacuumed, made Kale & Goat's Cheese Frittata for lunch. It was quite warm outside so we decided that we'd give FDawg a bath in the courtyard. He was booked into the groomers last week but, of course, I wasn't able to get him there and Mr F had an important meeting he had to attend so couldn't take him either. He was getting very whiffy (FDawg, not Mr F 😆). Just as we were about to get started, I bent down to pick up the vaccuum and 'twang' my back went into spasm 😫 I'd intended just to hold FDawg's lead whilst Mr F washed him and was still able to do that. However, Mr F had to blow dry him and get all his bedding washed and clean. I had to go and lie down in the end and Mr F made freezer fish and chips for supper.
I'm up this morning but my back is sore so I'm going to have to be super careful. I also need to look ahead in the diary as there are some social events coming up which I think I'm going to have to drop now 😢
Any type of exercise is out of the question at the moment @beanielou - I didn't even get to go for the planned, short walk yesterday. I'm desperate to go and see the snowdrops at a local castle as they are said to be spectacular. I've missed them for the last four years for one reason or another and it looks as though I won't get to see them this year either 😥
It's just so painful dealing with HMRC @badmemory. It would really help if they read the query and answered it rather than just sending a template answer each time which doesn't help at all. We will have to write to HMRC @SandyShores - we have submitted Mr F's tax return with, I suspect, incorrect information provided by his employer and the only way to resolve that, according to the website, is to send a letter.
Still trying to look on the bright side. I'm able to take to my bed if need be, Mr F is at home to help and you can get everything you need delivered anyway. It's so frustrating though. I really thought I was on the mend.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.
Fortune x
