    A good start?

Well the day started well.  I got up, had a long hot shower and carried out my skin routine so at least felt ready for the day.  However, I twanged my back twice - once whilst trying to shave my legs 😲 and once whilst trying to put my pants on 😲  I managed to get my jeans on but gave up any attempt at socks and just slipped into some flipflops.  I suppose I will have to get used to being hirsute and knickerless for a while 😲🤭😂

I sat at the kitchen island to meal plan and grocery shop and made Leek, Cheese & Bacon Tart with salad for lunch.  Then I decided to be sensible and go and lie down for a bit.  Mr F has a massage function on his side of the bed so I took advantage of that and the electric blanket.  I'd only planned to rest for an hour but, inevitably I fell asleep and work up two hours later 😲

I'm now cooking Sausage, Kale & Gnocchi One-Pot for supper.  (If anyone fancies trying it, I find it's better to fry off the gnocchi first until it's nice and crispy.) After that I shall ask Mr F to help me get into my pyjamas 😊, go to bed and get on with some paperwork if I can.  I'm thinking perhaps I came off the anti-inflammatories too soon so will start those again this evening.

I did remember to pay the credit card bill yesterday and also updated my business FB page with a new cover photo and post.

Very bored with this now but patience is the key.  I will try to concentrate on recovery steps and focus on what I can do rather than what I can't.

    But bored...

Oh dear, I confess I am giggling at you being hirsute and knickerless for a while 😂😂😂 sorry! And you should definitely swap sides with Mr F - how come you only have a massage function on one side?! Not fair at all! Glad you had a rest though xx

Sorry to hear your back is still playing you up Fortune - had a similar experience with one of my calf muscles this morning while attempting to do a kickboxing workout so do sympathise.  Will be trying that sausage gnocchi dish you posted - trying to get DH to eat more greens and think he'd be ok if it was in amongst sausages and gnocchi!

Blimey, knickerless - we call that “Going commando”. The term refers to elite soldiers trained to be ready to fight at a moment's notice. So when you're not wearing any underwear, you're, well, ready to go at any moment — without pesky undies in the way.
