Recovery
Thank you everyone for your good wishes and advice. I am far more mobile than I was but having to take it very, very easy. I've not much to report as you'd expect. Mr F has been cooking the 'easy' meals I keep in the freezer for just such an eventuality - pizza, fish and chips, filled pasta and some healthier options I'd cooked and frozen previously. He's also pushed the vacuum around from time to time and kept on top of the washing up 👼 The care of FDawg has fallen to him as well and he's still working full time so doing very well. Thank goodness he is home and not away for weeks on business as he was before the pandemic.
I think I have sprained/pulled/torn a muscle in my back. Now that my muscles have stopped going into spasm, I can feel a particular spot which is sore and know which movements to take care with. I'm taking this as a wake up call to stop talking about putting my health first and to actually do it. So... my immediate focus is going to be on recovery and 'Health' is going to be at the top of my list going forward. On that note...
Health- I got up this morning, made breakfast, washed up and put a load of washing on. I was able to sit at the kitchen island to eat which is an improvement as sitting has been difficult up until now
- I'll get up again mid-morning to hang the washing
- I made Leek & Potato Soup for lunch yesterday so will get up and serve the leftovers for lunch with a buttered roll
- not sure what we'll have for supper yet but I've meal planned and the grocery shop arrived yesterday so I'll choose something according to how I'm feeling. Something quick if my back has had enough by then. Mr F is happy to continue cooking if I can't manage it but I'm keen to get back to healthier eating
- I'll do some research into back exercises/stretches that are safe for me to do at the moment
- if I manage it, this will be the most I've done physically since Sunday. Small steps.
- we've had a letter from the mortgage company confirming our OPs and that we can't make any more until our fixed rate ends in August
- the grocery shop came in a little under budget. I would have saved more but had to buy some rechargeable batteries this time. However, I'm still pleased to be saving anything with the increase in food costs
- I'm waiting for Mr F to get paid so that I can pay his tax bill. We have the money but I'd rather not cash out any PBs if I can avoid it. His new tax code has come through for the next financial year and it's wrong... again. So I shall have to go on line and correct that... again.
- I've received lots of messages of support - here and in RL - which has been wonderful
- Mr F is doing a great job of taking care of me
- I don't believe I've hurt myself seriously and should recover in another week or so
- we bought a Fire Stick just before Christmas which means I've at least been able to watch some good films whilst I haven't been able to do anything else (bought with vouchers and rather than buying a replacement Smart TV).
Thanks again all - it was lovely to see all your messages.

So pleased to hear you're recovering Fortune xxx glad Mr F has been able to step in and keep the place running too. You are SO right about health being a priority - I've been learning that the hard way myself 🙄 looking forward to more inspiration from you on that front in the future too!5

I definitely think health should come first. I am a prime example. I am a great procrastinator, but not normally about money. In the middle of last year I wasn't feeling great (not covid), but I seriously took my eye of the financial ball & landed up with 2 accounts worth over £12k on a massive 0.1% interest for almost 3 months. It would never have happened if I had been 100%.

Up!
Thank you again for all your encouragement and well wishes - I am up and dressed! It took me quite a time to put my socks on though 😆
Small steps planned again for today:
Health- I showered and washed my hair
- re-started my skin care routine. I've been neglecting it since Christmas and it shows 😲 Not good as my little business is skin care. Also, it makes such a positive difference to how I look and feel for really very little effort. It's a quick win I should keep on top of
- made breakfast - cheese and mushroom croissants using the mushrooms from the veg box
- and lunch - baked potatoes with tuna sweetcorn mayo and salad
- supper is likely to be Indian Masala Roast Carrots with Coconut Red Lentils as I still have some carrots in the fridge from Christmas and more came in the veg box this week.
- Mr F's truck insurance came in lower than I'd budgeted for
- a proper facial
- being up and about even if I am having to take things slowly
- well wishes from friends.
Enjoy your weekend all.

Nice Indian Masala Carrots Fortune, I've got some left over in the fridge so I'm going to have a go at that tomorrow.
Glad your back is easing up. I tend to forget about my back until its so stiff it hurts and then its a trip to the chiropractor and I start doing my exercises and stretches again. Take care, its definitely worth it but I know how easy it is to neglect health."Think of many things, do one"

Good to see you up and about again Fortune! 😊😊 Hope you get plenty of rest tonight. I'm always intrigued by mention of skin care regimes. My face gets a swipe with a damp flannel and a bit of basic moisturiser and that's it 😂 Can't say I'm an advert that regime mind you, I'm sure I could look a lot better if I tried harder! 😮5
