We're fine Lainey, thank you for your continued love and support in sad times, it helps to know someone else is there for me! I know that death is the ultimate end for each of us and that one life should be lived as well as it can be but she's so young to be ending her journey and had a gusto for life that she lived to the full it's sadness that she won't have the twilight years to carry on enjoying herself. Maybe next time round eh? xxx

Bless you, you make life a better place xxx.

I hold faith that the universe will measure each person and their lives to see where they will go 'next', so yes, next time around she should have a good, long life!
Right back at you lovely Mrs LW, thank you for your friendship xx

I just find such news desperately sad. I expect sadness and thoughts about your friend wouldn't have been far from your mind today.
  • I'll remember her smile and laughing with her FUDS for far longer than I'll mourn her passing, a lovely lady somehow full of sunshine and a bit of sparkle xxx.

Hello everyone. :) I have popped on to tell you that today I weighed in and managed to get to 1 stone in weight loss. I'm really happy with that and will continue to just let my body shed whatever it feels. I have no ideal weight or goal, I'm just eating well and doing my school run.

I have been quiet on purpose this week because I don't want you all thinking I'm a hypochondriac! I have a virus that is effecting my chest wall. It started last week by my lower ribs, moved to give me hurtful shoulder pain and then settled in my chest. I didn't mess about with the chest and saw the GP. I have costochronditis and just have to sit it out, take ibprofen and do my deep breathing exercises to keep my lungs clear. It started after I had that ruddy mince pie so I asked the Q if it could be connected. He said that he is aware that with gluten intolerance any exposure to to gluten can cause inflammation within the body. I got a ticking off for not getting tested before I started my elimination diet but said I should get the girls tested just incase. I will do this after New Year.

So I'm behaving myself but keeping myself moving and breathing as best I can. I am, however, cursing the Law of Sod!

    How are you all doing?

You were sensible to get yourself checked out as soon as you did.
Try to stay warm and hydrated and keep up with the exercises for your lungs.

I just caught a stinker of a cold so not sure if even a virtual hug is a good idea. Have warned family not to come over tomorrow as I don't want to be sneezing over the dinner and would feel awful if I passed on the cold.

fuddle - a respiratory physician once told me that he had known lots of patients with inflammatory bowel conditions who also had a persistent cough with no other apparent cause. Even the medics are admitting that inflammation in one body system can be linked with inflammation in another. Think how some people with asthma also have eczema, and some with psoriasis also have arthritis. Inflammation is a good thing but too much causes havoc.

Well done on the weight loss!

  • Sorry Ive been MIA. My log on suddenly decided it was invalid and my user name didn't exist:mad: sometimes I think websites deliberately want you to reregister to count you as a new user - absolute morons. You can tell I'm really fed up:o

Lyn - I'm so sorry about your neighbour. Sounds like she had a good life which we should be grateful for but still a shock nevertheless.

Fuddle - your weight loss is a real achievement. It should inspire me but I'm in a bit of a hole right now so really need to get my mind in the right place.

This blasted iPad is being a complete pain ( I really would like to say something else ) tonight so it's a short message as I'm at my wits end. Maybe tomorrow my humour will have improved:o
