Fuddle complain very loudly to the practice manager, in writing cc'd to your good gp, the senior partner and your local CCG. You shouldn't have to be forced to waste NHS resources because of an inadequate system2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Fuddle - big systems, lots of people, lots of demands, lots of pressure - all this leads to communication breakdown and upset, not to mention waste of money. You have learned a lesson here, keep yourself well as far as possible and prepare for when you need more - your idea of photocopying the document and having it with you at all times is an excellent one. Next time you need an appointment for that reason, you have the letter to back up your case. I assume you have further outpatient follow ups scheduled? Or GP reviews? If so, make sure you tell them of the ludicrous situation where you had to walk outside the surgery, ring 111, get an ambulance crew to come, who themselves had to ring 111 so you could walk back in and have an appointment! Bonkers! One life - your life - live it!0

Thank you
I have a GP appointment pre-booked for Monday and I'm back with the respiratory consultant in February.
This system appears to be the CCG's way of coping with appointment allocations. I believe it is reletively new as the receptionist told me "we've just had some appointments taken off us for allocation via 111.' the problem being is our surgery has a lack of GP's and serves a town and surrounding little communities. It's no one's fault. I guess 111's computer said no and it's that reliance on technology screening that has cause the ludicrous situation. I do think I need to contact CCG about it. I can do this via email. I doubt I will make a difference though.
DH took me for a drive out over the Dales today and I got some eucalyptus oil. I just need an oil burner now but will wait until January given the stretch on finances this time of year. I'll add it to steam for the time being. When I put the oil on a burner do I dilute with anything?
Nargle I hate that I have to rely on the NHS and I am pretty sad that I have succumbed again. I'm trying so hard but my fear is that is me every winter for the rest of my life and I'm desperately worried about antibiotic resistance. The damage is done. My lungs are weak. Mar told me about vitamin D supplements for the lungs last year and I'm reading alot of science to back that idea up. I will try anything.0 -

Sometimes you see a burner in charity shops. It does not have to be expensive. I found tea tree oil very good and you can put a few drops on a cotton ball and place on a hot radiator or put a few drops on a hanky. Don't do what I did and put the hanky into the neck of pjs or nightie as I woke up with red blotches on my neck.
Haven't been so discombobulated since I put peppermint oil on my forehead for a headache and it dripped into my eyes!!! I thought I had blinded myself. Retained enough sense to realise water would not help so dripped some veg or olive oil into my eyes to dilute it."This site is addictive!"

Don't dilute the oil when using a burner as you only need a few drops.
When DH was very ill I got Burglar's blend oil from ama***, sometimes called thieves oil and used that in a burner. DH used to say it was a good clean smell and felt it was doing him good."This site is addictive!"

Oh elona. I did laugh. Sorry. It's an affliction of mine.:o:rotfl:
I doubt I would have had the wherewithal to think about oil and water but it's stored in the grey matter should I need it.0 -
(((HUGS))) fuddle, i'm so sorry this happened to you.
I was going to suggest singing for lung health tooIt really improved my DD's lung capacity when she had asthma.

Singing? Singing? I'm tone deaf! I wish I could sing though. I was at the Cathedral t'other night. The choir sang a song in German. I had no idea what it was about but I was captivated. Funnily enough we do have a local choral society. I saw it on Facebook just this evening but I think they may lock the door as they see me arrive.
I'm back from a Greek restaurant meeting MIL for Christmas. It was ok, quite funny in parts but I was told I looked drawn because of my weight loss. I admit I look awfully tired but I'm healthier inside now than 2 months ago. I had feta and olives salad. Everyone else tucked into lamb kebabs, pitta bread, chips and creamy sauces. While there's nothing wrong with that I just didn't want it. I didn't feel like I was missing out. I've definitely turned a corner re: cravings and I see no way back now.
Lyn are you managing to keep yourself and HWKs in the good zone after you hit your goal?0 -

Singing does not have to be something that is heard by anyone else.
Just tra la laing the scales would help.
It might help if I were tone deaf as I can hear it when I sing "flat" or out of tune. I used to sing to dds when they were little and one of them years later said "Mum, I used to think you had a lovely voice "
adding "then I went to school and got music lessons"
The feta, olives and salad sound lovely and much healthier than fatty chips etc."This site is addictive!"
