Both sides were really horrible. History wasn't at all nice.0

They do say mar, that if we don't learn the lessons from history we are bound to repeat it. They don't seem far wrong from what I can see.
fuddle, it has happened as I feared. A lot of my older emails have disappeared, including the all important one with your link on it. I will probably get it back again when tablet has got over its hissy fit but if not I'll let you know.
Are you sure someone isn't trying to tell me something?I believe that friends are quiet angels

Yeah.... but are we talking about a) stick-your-teeth-together confectionary, or b) little multi-coloured things you take with a glass of water, or c) Monna's Nemesis?:rotfl:
Oh LW Scottish tablet doesn't stick your teeth together but it has so much sugar in it you could need fillings just reading the recipe but it is sooooooo gooooooood0 -
Just popping on to wish Mrs LW and HWKs good luck with the move now the day has finally arrived.
BTW, I really don't like tablet, it's far too sweet and makes my teeth ache!0 -
Morning all - I have never had tablet.....
Hope Mrs LWs move goes well.
I am on the early train to London for a 9.00 meeting, with luck it'll be over and done by 11. It was rather cooler walking to the station this morning, but I am not seeming to mind the coolth at the moment.
Had a visit from my former cleaner yesterday - i did tidy a little prior to her coming but the odd comment (not meant to be nasty) made me realise why i am glad i don't have one any more. She is lovely and doing really well in her new, rather more executive, job. but comments like "I'd be going mad at her if she were mine, i couldn't put up with it" when she saw the state of DD's room (DD showed her not me) made me realise she's quite controlling (and her own children left her and went to live with their father a long time ago). Anyway it was nice to catch up.
Have a good day allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Camelot - and anybody else who doesn't like tablet - just hang onto it pet, I'll send you a stamped self-addressed (large) envelope. If you drink tea while you're eating it then it does not rot teeth. Scientific fact!
Ok well I just invented it but it sounds plausible...
Having a wee happy day here meself, getting bus ON MY OWN up to Edinburgh to get the hair cut. FREEEEDOMMM!0 -
I have not been missing again I seem to have three posts missing. I had problems with the nurse yesterday she wanted to start at the beginning again with blood tests and she told me off for not going yesterday morning. The receptionist that changed my appointment to afternoon did not cancel the morning appointment.
Well no one told me how much the injection stings. She did give it to me in the end. I have to go again on Friday then Monday Wednesday and Friday next week and one the week after.
I thought Mrs LW was moving on 16th. I hope the day goes well Lyn.0 -
Dear me nursemaggie, your surgery certainly doesn't seem very efficient! I'm glad you've been able to start your injections x
Hopefully all will go well for MrsLW and HWK today, bless 'em
I bought a jumper in M & S yesterday, thought I'd need XL but it's much too big! So back it goes this morning, to be swapped for a smaller size. I'll wait until the rain's stopped though0 -
As long as I keep away from the Doctor I don't like and his wife but I am stuck with her for my injections. She had to phone her husband to make sure I could start the injections. He had not written on my notes. It took her 40 minutes of faffing about before she gave me my injection. I think It's time they both retired.
ivyleaf my doctors have a good report from the care commission. They have closed down two practices since their last inspection. There is now a shortage of doctors as well as dentists. I think I am going to have to sign up with the very expensive ones. They are the only ones who have vacancies.0 -
Nursemaggie, where did you have the injection? I find in my thigh it stings like heck, but in my arm not as much. And different brands sting differently, but frankly all of them do sting. Worse than a flu jab. I didn't think to mention I'm sorry, I've been doing it so long now it just didn't occur to me.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070
