The Alps sounds lovely MMF, it's the kind of holiday I envy and I'm sure you'll have a lovely time, you're very deserving of it.
Good grief Jazee, we should also be grabbing pond life by the danglies too. I hope your DS isn't too shaken.
Silvasava, they're probably right about the regrets. So I'm glad today we shirked the housework, went out for a walk on the beach, a nice lunch and bought me some new clothes
FPK, I too would love a boiler suit. Preferably in olive green/khaki. So I don't think it weird (I'm not sure I should be taken for a barometer of what is and isn't though). Sadly however I can't advise on torso length, I have a short body and long legs. Though I would have though, being as how many are for men, they'd be plenty long body wise.

Softstuff I'm torn between forest green and navy
Reviews seem to say many women find them long in the body so that should be fine. Just waiting for my spending allowance for next month (OH and I both get monthly spends for whatever we want, keeps the budget on track! Of course I've used all of July's spends...)

Thanks for your comments folks, love Nargles chant. He's ok, only told me because it's the kind of thing that gets reported in the local press and he didn't want me asking if he knew anything about the assault outside his work! I wonder what he keeps from me. No, I don't want to know!Spend less now, work less later.0

FPK - I've got a bright red one! It was a work one given to DH and far too small. I'd suggest maybe trying a small man's size - often that extra length in the body.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

My clothing spend today was actually my new phone budget. The last phone I bought cost about 25 quid with 10 quid of included credit, some years ago and it was on its last legs. Well, technically it works fine for some things, but not at all for others. So we'd decided to finally buy me a new phone and budgeted for a pretty reasonable one so I could run my fitbit app on it. Then last night we fixed a friends computer and he had an old iphone 4 in a drawer, he gave us itSo today we unlocked it, wiped it and are working on setting it up. It probably needs a new battery, which a local shop can pop in for about 25 quid

Step son rang me last night, OH has been moved to a ward closer to the car park, thank goodness. He had a list of things he wanted taken in.
It started to rain last night, not sure if it rained all night but the pavements are wet and its very grey and cold. Back to trousers and a fleece morning.
Slept ok, took my meds as I went to bed, roused once in the night but then slept through to just after 7 am.
I had melon for brekkie, have cubed some up and put it in a carton to take in to OH at lunch time.
Tried to ring but could not get through to the ward, will try later.
Feel a bit down this morning, prospect of having to cancel our holiday to IOW in September. On past experience I do not think OH will be fit to go. Hey ho....whats new...........0 -
Hail from a wet and windy island. Don't worry about the holiday Csarina, unless you've already paid for it of course, we will still be here when you CAN come.
I'm a happy bunny. I slept last night. Woke up this morning, Millie and Istood at the window and looked at the dark skies, the wet patio and each other, made our breakfasts and slunk back to bed. Hence the lare start.
I knew someone who fancied a tattoo and on her 21st birthday had her name, which was Theresa, tattooed as a Chinese hieroglyphic on one shoulder. When she gave birth to her daughter she fancied having her daughter's name tattooed on the other shoulder. Unfortunately the name could not be translated into Chinese so she chose the word 'Mother' instead.
All was well until she was sunbathing on the beach and someone came, sat down beside her and said in awe, "Are you really Mother Theresa?"
I've never hunkered after a boiler suit. The words Barage Balloon come to mind. I can see how practical they would be. My yen has always been for gingham disagrees, (try d u n g a r e e s , tablet) don't ask me why, I must have seen someone wearing some once. John Boy Walton? Anyway as my shape grows slightly less balloon shape I just might fulfil my ambition one day. Not that anyone probably makes them these days.
Jazee, how horrible. We all know that these things happen but they usually happen to other people, not one of our own.
I love Nargle's Karma saying.
I've one of my own........

I'm pleased to hear so many of you also either have or covet a boiler suit! Red eh?
Monna, you might be in luck. Dungarees are currently trendy again with the oh so fashionable teen set. Gingham I'm not sure about, but I can see exactly why you'd want them0 -
I like dungarees they are comfortable but I need to know where my shewee is if I'm going to wear them.Chin up, Titus out.0

Trust you Hester. I'm rapidly going off the idea of dungarees. I'm not a trendy, fashionable teen and while I'm more than happy to be an eccentric crone, mutton dressed as lamb does not appeal.I believe that friends are quiet angels
