Great news Jazee, so glad he's been caught and we haven't had to mobilise the bus to come hunt him out. Hope DS is ok.

I have a boiler suit, found it hanging in a cupboard at work (gawd knows why, it's a school!). It's great to put on over my clothes (when it's not too hot) to save getting changed all the time. It is a little bit big but plenty of room in the body. It's navy blue but not sure what make, probably council issue!

Softstuff I'm torn between forest green and navy :) Reviews seem to say many women find them long in the body so that should be fine. Just waiting for my spending allowance for next month (OH and I both get monthly spends for whatever we want, keeps the budget on track! Of course I've used all of July's spends...)

Fairy If you have an army surplus near you,you should be able to try it on and probably cheaper:D

Jazee Glad to hear they got the low life. The next person might not have been so fortunate.

I should have known you lot would know all about boiler suits! The local army surplus that I can easily access only does one type and it definitely won't go small enough. I will definitely check returns policies and weigh it up. Of course I've now managed to find the deluxe, made in the UK, nice cotton one for a cool £160. I don't think I could justify wearing that to garden and decorate though!

I used to have some dickies trousers that fit very well so I'm hoping that will be the way to go. I outgrew them before I wore them out and I bought them second hand!

Monna - did you dream of being Pollyanna in your gingham bib and brace? I could run you up one if you're determined - just let me know what colour and if you want a broderie anglais trim? Matching mob cap too?

RNLI open day went better than expected. lots of people turned out despite the weather. I did help swell the coffers buying my Christmas cards and some lemon drizzle cake ;)

Excellent news jazee - bit concerned that your DD was knocked down do hope he's been checked out properly in spite of him saying he's OK.

Ooh Switzerland. I've only been once, as part of a rail tour which was our honeymoon (can you detect a theme :p).

We've just been to see Mama Mia 2 - what a joyous film it is.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

We did a rail tour followed by a week in a lovely hotel!! End of June 1999. It was superb. Stayed in a car-free village, only noise was small birds in the beautiful garden. We still associate the smell of petunias with the amazing view from our balcony which had window boxes in full bloom :D

We had been planning to go to Iceland* this year but family events meant the best dates were not possible. *Land of fire and ice, not the frozen food shop
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

CH is very expensive but so beautiful. Please check with where you are staying about conditions on paths every day.
There is an amazing free app called Swissmobility which shows all the paths and the connections to public transport.
You could ask the folks where you are staying to print off the days walk....

Have a wonderful time....and remember your health card and travel insurance...when my adult daughter forgot and fell from a mountain bike, we paid for the broken arm in cash and had to leave a huge deposit against treatment! Also had to pay for the ambulance...

I went through Switzerland once on our way by train through France to Italy. Unfortunately the Swiss part was at night so I didn't see a thing. But I'm sure it was lovely.

Thank you TiredTrophy for the great tips. We have our EHIC and always check weather etc daily for any mountain trips but that app sounds fab! Will get it :)
