Think a big, giant group hug would be a grand idea, so many sad stories but so many courageous souls too, a huge dose of universal love to you all x
Just back from visiting DSIL, she is in some pain and was a bit down when we first arrived but perked up with company. She is normally a very ‘ on the go’ kind of person so is struggling with being stuck in hospital and there is only so many word searches one person can doHer consultant was pleased overall with how the op went, she will know within the next 10 days if anymore treatment will be needed, everything to be kept crossed that they got it all out.

Litha Your quote was very true. a virtual hug from me.
All who are bereaved I sent my hugs and condolences. I don't think I ever been on any site where we can open up with our problems like this thread. I lost three before I had DD two miscarriages and a still birth. I've never got over the stillbirth.0 -
Gran3 just my two pennyworth. My DH has incurable cancer but I would never want to go anywhere without him. Our lives are too short as it is and I wouldn't want to miss a thing.
There are such sad stories on here and I want to thank you all for sharing.
Take care and hugs to all

LameWolf our experiences make us what we are. I can only hazard a guess as to what you suffered all those years ago (and I don't think I even want to go there) but you know what? You survived. Yes, it took its toll on your physical and mental health, but you survived. You beat the bar steward who hurt you and tried to destroy you. You now have a good life with a man who sounds an absolute diamond, and you do a fabulous job looking after lots of lovely doggies, all of whom sense you are a good human. We all think you are a star! One life - your life - live it!0

I'm the same as you nursemaggie two late miscarriages and one that was a week short of being a stillbirth. That took me many years to get over, and I'm tough. But when I read what previous generations of mums went through then I know that was nothing.
Actually, ME is the worst thing that has every happened to me. I find it totally frustrating and heartbreaking and overwhelming and just bloody horrible. Everything else is manageable but ME is definitely not.
But saying that, I am still here and the gob still works and there is still fabulous things to live for, like cake and jellybabies. If only I had some...0 -
