    Fuddle Brilliant :T

Oh Lainey, your poor DSIL. I have said a prayer for her and am sending you ((HUGS))

Lyn it would be lovely if you could move that soon! Good luck with it all x

nursemaggie I'm so sorry to hear you have noisy neighbours again. Might it be worth doing the time-honoured "banging on the ceiling with a broom-handle" when she is making a noise, as she may not realise how much you can hear if she is not used to living in a flat? Have a lovely time with DD and DGS :)

:hello: to everyone I haven't mentioned.

I have bought DS a reusable coffee cup made of recycled disposable coffee cups, as he usually stops to collect a coffee at the little coffee shop down the road on his way to work. I have a feeling he'll hate the colour scheme though - There was a black one with a green lid and he'd probably have preferred that, but i thought the light-coloured one I chose would make it easier for him to see whether it's properly clean or not after he's washed it up at the office....we'll see.

Court case Hester. The whole concept, especially as a witness, sounds stressful :( be kind to yourself eh.

Lyn I missed your post before. Excellent news! Just to have some news is great but to have news that you could be settled earlier is even better. I really would like all ladies in a settled before the cold of Autumn please.

Brilliant news Lyn, you do realise that it's only 4 weeks away don't you? Ooh-er!

Lainey, I'm a bit late catching up with the news but I hope all went well and your SIL recovers quickly. It's a nerve wrenching time .

Fuddle, Oh well done that girl. You managed all those situations brilliantly. Big pat on the back for you. No, not that hard, you'll choke. It seems that you have a lot of support and I'm willing to bet that a lot of PS's so-called friends are well aware of how nasty he is and are probably only pseudo-friendly because they don't want him to turn on them.

Hester. That is not a nice situation to be in. Of course, you may not be called. I've only been in that place once, in the case against my ex. The case was to last 3 weeks and they would only call me after 4 o'clock in the afternoon if I was needed the next day. It was a difficult journey to get there so I was on hot bricks every day and couldn't plan anything else for those 3 weeks. As it turned out the judge decided on about the 18th day that I didn't need to be present but that the statement I had given would just be read out in court. Phew! I hope you may get something like that.

Ivyleaf, you mean that your DH would actually notice if his coffee cup was not perfectly clean? You have brought him up well. Respect.

I'm sure I have missed someone so apologies in advance.

I am sitting here with a cup of tea and the smug expression of one whose ground floor is spotless, dusted, vacced, steam cleaned, shining and sweet smelling.
I'm out all day tomorrow but on Friday I turn my attention to the top floor.......wherein lies chaos.

There are a few fluffy clouds in the sky but they've done nothing to reduce either the sunshine or the heat.

  • 'S'ok MONNA I'm on the case, I started packing weeks ago and the pile in the lounge grows ever taller!!! We await confirmation before getting too ahead of ourselves but I reckon if I worked hard (and had enough boxes) that I could finish the packing in a couple of days. We've got rid of an awful lot of stuff before we went on the market and we've been weeding through possessions ever since and shedding what we've just been holding on to. It's liberating! I may have to replace things at the other end in the fullness of time but we're looking OK and have decided on a removals firm who I hope will be able to accommodate us on the given day. Exciting though!

Islandmaid I'm sorry to hear your news. Big hugs.

Lainey thinking of you and yours and hoping for the best news possible.

    MrsLW ooh, how exciting.

Fuddle there's probably people who would have paid good money to see you and the hose in action. I know you thought that you'd embarrassed yourself but I have a feeling that you're going down in village legend. He's accidentally done you a favour too as people are now going out of their way to talk to you and be friendly. We know someone similar - talks the big man talk about other people being *insert rude word that I'd be banned from here for using* but in reality the one thing that all the people that he talks about and several that he doesn't mention is that they all think that he is the *that rude word again*.

The HT's school have alpacas. They don't do much. I prefer the school goats. I also like llamas. We've been llama walking and they were all such characters. If I win the lotto we'll buy somewhere big enough to have all of those things and you can all come and stay/live with us/do what you like.

In other news, I've been running today (that's coming along nicely) and I have tomatoes from the garden to go with my evening meal. I'll be online gaming with one of my closest friends tonight as he's off work so we get to spend extra time together (not that kind of friend, don't be ordering wedding hats) and the HT has a school trip tomorrow so I don't have to listen to him moaning about school. Easily pleased me :rotfl:

Right, am home now, on the ipad with glasses, so can read more than every 5th word ;)

Cranky Good on you for running in this heat, but then again, just good on you for running, I couldn't run a bath :D
Lyn fab news about the house, fingers crossed you will be in, and settled before you know it x
Monna - slow down, you will boil over at this rate x
Hester - hope you are enjoying the court case, are you going all Judge Rinder on us.....
Fuddle - Sounds like a nice day in all, let's hope PS doesn't get his knickers in a bunch again anytime soon x
Lainey - best wishes and hope DSIL is as comfortable as can be expected, it must be very scary to go through x
Nursemaggie- let's hope your new neighbor is having a good old spring clean before she has the kids around her ankles, and they settle quickly, and more importantly, quietly x

Hope Dilly and Humphrey are making friends and are settling in - promise not to eat Humphrey, as long as he doesn't spit ;)

Crab linguine for dinner, the IPad has caught a dose of Monna, and want to call it Crab Lingerie, DH would be excited :rotfl: - I will have a crab salad :)

First off - Islandmaid I am so sorry for your loss, hun. x

Lainey sending successful-op and GWS vibes to your DSIL.
Monna If you eat my transport you will have to eat a single decker bus a double decker bus a two carriage train and a four carriage train and a four carriage tram every time I use them because I don't suppose I get the same one very often.
This reminded me of a PS2 game "Rampage - Total Destruction" - where the protagonists get to upend double decker buses and eat the contents (passengers). :D

    This is specially for nannywindow.

Ooh, and if we're expanding the zoo, can we have some Huskies, pretty please? In D&D, I had a Bronze War Husky as my character's companion at one time - a Brazen Husky, geddit? :rotfl:
And I've always wanted to ride on a dog-sled. :o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I couldn't run when I started either. The first week of running for a minute then walking for a minute and a half nearly killed me. I'm 51 and about 5 stone overweight so there's been a few challenging moments. The running was supposed to help with the weight but it made me very hungry at first so that that's been a bit of a learning curve too. I've just gone at my own pace, repeating some runs until I felt comfortable before moving on to the next session. I can run for about 35 minutes now. It's also supposed to be helping the circulation in my bad leg. I still have parts around the scar that are numb and parts that hurt a lot if you touch them but running doesn't seem to bother it and the doctor said to move as much as possible so.....

Lainey I lit a candle to send some positive energy your way and to share, just feel the energy when you put your hand on hers

Fuddle, you are a dynamo of learning, you never stop and we are all so proud of you. You are going to be a wise old crone one day (crone as in wise older woman)

mra LW I am so happy for you, the end is in sight. I took your suggestion about coloured stickers on board and they all arrived today. EPC and photos done today and am trying to keep my home clean and tidy but I ended shoving stuff here and there and cupboards are chocca. I am not surprised that some people never move. I am completely cream crackered

I am wishing you all one of the best things possible, a really good nights sleep and I know I could do with one
