Don't worry Emptynester, It's a very low fence, you can sit quite comfortably and see over the top.

Ivyleaf, I hope the pills have taken effect and you are feeling more comfortable now. It's a horrid sensation.

Hester, surely if your tenants do damage they are responsible for putting it right. I think the others are right, they are pushing the boundaries.. Did they pay a security deposit? I suppose all the repairs can come out of that and if you run out of deposit they will have to pay another one or leave.

Fuddle, maybe this was not the dog for you. Perhaps another one will arrive soon.
It sounds to me that gitface is a one off and is greatly outnumbered by the genuinely nice people around. You'll be OK. Nice always wins in the end.

Silver-oldie, I still miss my Dad too. I was only thinking this morning that today would have been my parents 80th wedding anniversary. It doesnt seem possible that 30 years have passed since their Golden wedding. Mums dementia was well set in by that time and she didn't really know what was going on but she put on a good show and if you didn't know you would have believed that she really recognised all the extended family that were gathered..

When it comes to lefties writing my DS2 curls his arm right round and writes upside down. It's fascinating to watch and surprisingly effective.

Tonight I am hiding all my books. -1hours sleep is nowhere near enough. I dozed off in the chair after lunch but not for long, the phone saw to that.

ETA. Marble , I've just looked and most of the thanks buttons have disappeared.
Sorry, I've just seen what tablet has done to your user name. I am speaking to N A R G L E.
I wouldn't listen to anybody's prognosis. Even the experts don't always get it right. What will be will be and you will be OK and we will love you through whatever you have to face.

Oh and I am a righty who eats like a lefty....

So do DH and DD2 :D DD1 is another lefty, DS right-handed. I'm left-handed for most things, and hold a spoon in the left hand, but knife and fork as if I were right-handed. It can get a bit tricky if I'm faced with a dish that's usually eaten with a fork and spoon...

At school I played hockey right-handed. If I were to learn to play the violin, I'd play it right-handed. Not sure about a guitar.

DH is a lefty for writing, but eats & plays guitar with his right hand...DS2 is a confused lefty... he uses whichever feels appropriate at the time :)

    Hello everyone,
Sorry for not posting lately, I have been reading along though.
I have been on me holibobs, my Dad is poorly with a bad chest and then found I have de Quervain disease, so I am struggling a bit at the moment.
My Dh is also feeling under the weather as he's waiting for his next cancer injection, so roll on Wednesday. It never rains but pours does it ?

Anyway I am sending healing vibes to all the poorlies and hugs to anyone who wants or needs one.
My DH is ambiguous........ sorry ambidextrous :rotfl:. DD is completely left handed and so is DGS and DGD. I am completely right handed or at present, one handed.
    Please take care all.
    nan xx

Now I see why people keep calling me MadArthur. It's not you lot, it's your possessed tablets!

    Yes...er... that's it :D

I typed a reply, then got distracted by bacon and lost it. I blame you Vjsmum, I thought, oh no, already red wine is causing me an issue... maybe I'll develop bacon intolerance... best eat it while I can ;) I certainly don't regret any of the wine I drank while I could.

I was ambidextrous as a child, but mum is a lefty who struggled through schooling in the 50's so she encouraged me to be a righty and I am. At least I am for writing, I think I switch my knife and fork round at will, but I'm all out of bacon, so can't check right now.

I'm sorry about the pup Fuddle, I'm sure the right little fella will be yours soon.

Nargleblast, sending hugs. From what I've seen of prognoses, they're not all that accurate, it's such an individual journey and like you say, taking each day as it comes is the only way. Glad you have Macmillan working well for you both already.

Hugs too for Nannywindow, it's rough when so many things hit at once.

I am feeling pooped, I zumba'ed myself senseless last night. One day soon going to take a headless selfie of myself though, just because for once in my life I'm feeling so proud of my bod, even in silly fitness wear.

Really??? we already have the best and most comfortable virtual fence on the planet! no additional panels needed!

The above makes no sense now as the advertisement for fence panels has been taken down as spam! GOOD!!!

Isn't it wonderful how advertisers ferret out their victims? These people have obviously no idea with whom they are dealing. PREASSEMBLED FENCE PANELS? Anyone who reads this forum will be fully aware that if we want fence panels we will knit our own.

Panic stations here today. My lunch-club partner in crime rang late last night to say that we are supposed to be producing a lunch this Wednesday (tomorrow by now).
We both thought it was next week. She and her DH have 5 medical appointments between them today so can't do anything towards prepping. Hey Ho! I'm about to jump into the shower and then commence battle.

I'll try to get back later.

    THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Step aside coffee. This is a job for alcohol.
