I am sticking with Enchanted Fence, I love that.
Gearing up to see what today brings. Off to the pool soon to do some physio and hopefully have a good old chinwag afterwards in the changing room. Then I want to continue with the skirt adaptations. As for the rest of the day time will tell.
ETA Monna, I hope you enjoy your cooking!0 -
We spent 3.5 hours yester wire-brushing and de-rusting 2 large metal gates. DH is not as daft as he looks - he said he'd do the top half cos he's taller. OK, fair enough, says I. Only later did i realise that the bottom half has 3 times as many little round spars. Doh. Anyway, it's ready to paint today.
It is sunny again, with a breeze to keep the midges off, so we shall be painting the gates this morning, running mum to Docs early afternoon, then a woodland walk on the edge of a loch this afto. Then, *cover your eyes if you are dieting*, fish n chips for tea!
Not very exciting but a pretty good day in my bookI have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0 -
I should probably report the above post from Fencestore, but haven't, because it's made me laugh
I found I'd somehow missed some of yesterday's posts, not sure how that happened! oh well, I've caught up now.
Nice to see you back nannywindowAre they arranging treatment for your hand? Apologies if you've already told us and I forgot.
Emptynester hope you're enjoying your new sewing machine. Which one have you got? i have a Pfaff which is 17 years old and I haven't really used it much, partly because of health but also because it always feels a bit too big for me. I think I'd be happier with a 3/4 size one!
MMF That sounds a horrible job  (preparing the gates for painting, I mean.)
monnagran Oh no! Try not to run yourself ragged xx
Lyn Welcome back! We missed you! Did you have fun? I'm off to Bayern for a week on Friday - I'm a bit nervous as it's so long since I travelled alone, but I know really that I'll be fine.0 -
It's raining here at least it may lower the pollen count enough so that I can see, it may also keep the thieves away as they are back at Tyle Mill stealing generators and other stuff.Chin up, Titus out.0

Hi IVYLEAF Oh YES WE DID! fab place is Belgium, not somewhere I knew well but so easy to be in and they have possibly the best chocolate on the planet. Architecture to rival the best anywhere, friendly and lovely people, fantastic food (did I mention the chocolate?) and is somewhere we will most definitely go to again. We were in Antwerp which is a super place, visited Bruges which is absolutely beautiful and then popped over the border to the German town of Aachen and the choir sang in cathedrals in all three places all of which were magnificent buildings. Much fun had and much giggling done as well as beautiful singing! Nice to be home and back to every day life again now though xxx.0

Another 'leftie' here! However, thinking about it, it's only writing and sewing that I use my left hand for - ironing, cutting, chopping veg is all done with the right hand.
No wonder I'm confused!!Everything will be alright in the end - and if it's not alright, it's not the end ........0 -

I read some words from you a little bit further back but I don't know what to say. Secondaries and I have a special hatred but they're 30 year old. The plan of attack is different, and better, bigger and cleverer now. We're with you even if we're bit lost for words and all we want to do is swear for you.MrsLurcherwalker wrote: »Really??? we already have the best and most comfortable virtual fence on the planet! no additional panels needed!
The above makes no sense now as the advertisement for fence panels has been taken down as spam! GOOD!!!
Did we really get spammed about fence panels? I love thatwallies Great to see you back!
Yesterday was a pig of a day but renewed to my normal today. I bit the bullet and went to the plots. We really are doing the whole ignoring thing and although it feels very rude and counter intuitive, I have had the most relaxing, pottering time in my own little world since I started.
Word hasn't got round the plots about what has happened I'm told so it's a relieve no one is gossiping about me. Seems to me that Mr Pea Seedling is keeping this under wraps... I wonder why? The secretary has gifted me one of his bush tomato plants so I can learn and get some crops and he's suggested I get clever with a growing fence to make it more private and comfortable for me. From this moment on I won't be mentioning Mr Pea Seedling's name anymore0 -
I too have not seen this advert but surely no human would do this they know our fence it virtual. It must be algorithms from Google.
I send an email to someone and we are talking about something figurative and I immediately get an advert for the object of the figurative speech. I think it is funny. :rotfl:
There is this concept in advertising that all human beings talk about with one another is goods and branded good at that. I get asked about it all the time in surveys.0 -
Ooh Fuddle thats a fab suggestion - how about blackberries? Can be kept in check on your side by shears, will give you pretty flowers & fruit and provide a home for wildlife2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

One of us actually has a 'larder hedge' with everything in it edible and the kids go and 'graze' for their pudding, can't remember which one of us it is though BUT it's the most fun idea I've come across for ages!0
