Nargle, thank you.
the warden is actually the secretary. I had no idea! He replied to my email last night saying he was sorry to hear of what had happened, but that he's pleased I felt I could confide in him and to continue to do so and that I don't have to deal with anything on the plots alone. He also lives in the street. His wife gave me a hug this morning. Mr Pea Seedling may have opened me to more of a friendship network where I live. It's nice you know.
I haven't slept. I kept waking with palpatations and felt dizzy and sweaty this morning. The kind where you feel sick, you know. I need to let this go but I'm too angry at the moment. I so wish I wouldn't get so emotionally involved and stressed about things.
But it will pass and I will be fine. The retired gent over the road opened the window to shout 'enjoy your first day back at school little fuddle' and replied waving in the air 'i' ve got the flags out' I really like the folks where I live and they've accepted me so lovely. It's just this one man who has made life a little bit too difficult for me to deal with. He undoubtedly has his own issues and I think if it was all different I would be a good support for him but it's too much now. It's just a sad situation.0 -
Fuddle such good fortune that your email went to someone on the committee

That's a bit of a bum Ivyleaf, hopefully you can get it under control soon.Softstuff, I am in awe at your haul from the CS. I never seem to see designer labels. Not that I'm au fait with such things, I probably wouldn't recognise them if I saw them.
Well, I didn't recognise the jeans either, but google was my friend
VJsmum, good to have pinpointed the rash cause.... but to be without bacon
Fuddle, it might just be that dealing with one !!!!!! gets you many friends. It's a reasonable trade off.
Hester, your tenant needs throttling.
I had work news today, the other casual has resigned. This means short term, probably more hours for me, but long term it makes my situation again precarious (they'll want to hire again, who knows who and under what terms). Hey ho, we survived before, we'll survive again. I'm not as worried as maybe I should beSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

Thank youDS2 uses left hand for somethings and right for others. Very confusing. He has never done a backhand in tennis, he simply swaps hands.
I can do *most* things with either hand (legacy of being rapped over the knuckles with the back of a tablespoon if I picked up a pencil in my left hand I guess) but I cannot iron or use a computer mouse right-handed to save my life; and I'm just generally happier working left-handed - it sort of "feels" right, iyswim.VJsmum, good to have pinpointed the rash cause.... but to be without bacon
Ivyleaf I hope you can get that vertigo under control. Most unpleasant for you.
Fuddle I have a slightly off-the-wall idea regarding Mr PS; I have had no less than 75 dogs through my front door in the nine years I've been dog-sitting - what say I round up as many as I can and get them all to poo on his allotment? :rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thank you all for the good wishes :A I was able to see a GP and now have some tablets for the vertigo. She was lovely and did a very quick check-up to make sure that it did indeed seem to be what i'd thought, as everything else was ok.
LW I love your idea about the dogs.....:D
Hope you manage a snooze monnagran x
I'm left-handed too, but was never forced to try to use the other hand. The main problem I remember is that in the infants' school we had to do our work on sheets of unlined paper, and my writing always sloped down the page otherwise I couldn't see what I was writing, so I'd end up with a sheet of paper with a blank triangle at the top right and bottom leftThe teachers never thought to suggest having the paper at an angle so that the writing went straight across the page!

Beginning to feel like a freak with so many lefties. I would what are the odds against so many.
Glad you got something for your vertigo ivyleaf. I hope it does not take to long to work.0 -

I do avoid handwriting anything much if I can though, as it hurts my hands; and my writing becomes illegible even to me by about the third line.
Even personal letters get done on the computer.

LW you norty lady. I very nearly had my own puppy to carry out your plan...
DH has been arranging with someone he works with friend to take on his 8 month old labrador puppy. The young couple had split up, her leaving his house and neither of them wanting the puppy. DH confirmed a time for us to meet the lad and puppy this morning. This afternoon the lad cancelled saying the girlfriend has let herself in to his house, took the puppy and given to someone else.
I'm absolutely devastated. I just can't believe it's happened. I'm so pleased we didn't tell the girls. It wasn't meant to be. I look forward to being my more useful positive self but it's not going to happen today0 -
Oh Fuddle that's so awful.
And you know who I really feel sad for? - The puppy. That's awfully young to have so much upheaval and stress to deal with. I just hope whoever now has him/her, they are a good, loving dog-owner. I'm betting it was malice aforethought by the ex-girlfriend.

Fuddle, so sorry, hope the puppy has found a good home
My mother is left handed, Dad right handed, brother left handed and me confused, not knowing which to use. I write with my right hand but use my left for some things.
It's 34 years today since my dear Dad died, miss him.
Thinking life has passed me by, so many things I dreamt of doing. Still I count my blessings, lovely DH, food on the table, roof over my head
Sorry I'll go now.If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0
