Dear Monna You have possibly posted the loveliest and most insightful words ever . It truly is wonderful to see you back where you belong .

Wise and thoughtful words as always . I too had seen that signature a while back and it broke my heart too . It comes from an untold story and speaks to many among the posters on different threads for all sorts of reasons .

I apologise for inserting my docky reply I hadn't seen your post before posting .

PS. Newbies, Hester speaks the truth. She IS obnoxious.

Polly. I'll have you know that Docky and I came to an understanding ages ago. He spelled words as the spirit moved and I threw away my red biro.

I see tablet has recovered from its rest. Silva makes bacon sardines (s a r n i e s ) and Hopefully has lost her joy.

    I'm a bit of a lurker too!
I couldn't leave without telling silver-oldie that she may phone the Samaritans if she needs to chat, although I know she said she doesn't like using a phone. There may be an email address though.
There is also 'independentage.org'. They have a website plus an email address.
I hate the thought of anyone being alone, myself too although I do have a best friend, she's not always around.

Nursemaggie, I have a corded Dyson and love it immensely. However, I was very disappointed to read they're only going to be making cordless now. I find the cordless simply to heavy to heft around for a while. The best thing to do is see if you can get near a shop with one and hold it for a bit.

Silveroldie, the bunch of charming reprobates here are probably my dearest and oldest friends. I have a couple in real life, but mostly it's just me and the hubby. I can be... not entire agreeable (but probably not as bad as Hester :p) I think the honesty we have on here is hard to find (and for some people hard to hear).

Monna, you have to stop chewing on the cords. Even coated in Gochujang they are not edible.

My grandad had dementia too. Once in hospital he told us he could see clocks in the trees. So we asked what time it was... he told us quite accurately and there wasn't a real clock in sight

Ivyleaf, I used to hate phones too. I'd get hubby to answer it and make any appointments that needed making. Then for some dratted reason I became a medical receptionist :rotfl: One problem last week took 16 phone calls across 2 states and about 12 people to resolve, but I wasn't stopping until I did. I think with some anxieties of mine I sort of have to throw myself into them and toughen up. Some don't work that way though.

Ok, so the bum burner stir fry, are you ready ladies??
you'll need: some cooked chicken, some veg (I go with:courgette, spring onion, mushrooms, beansprouts, spinach, asparagus etc). Stir fry the veg (I use coconut oil or olive oil and a splash of water mid way), drain off any juice or water, throw in the chicken. In a little bowl mix a dessert spoon of the chilli garlic sauce, a dessert spoon of the gochujang and about the same of soy, mix to a paste, chuck it in, stir rapidly, serve before it burns. I sometimes sprinkle sesame seeds on, cos it looks pretty.

Watch out Jamie, the old bird's in town :rotfl:

If this works out, and your bowels can take it, we'll move on from there.

If this works out for you both,

Polly, you dont understand. Obnoxious is an extrememly flattering adjective. In any case, Hester gets embarrassed when I tell her how much I love her.

Now, will you all go to bed before Silver oldie and Hopefuljoy wonder what sort of asylum they have wandered into

    GOODNIGHT..
