Mackerel needs to be smoked it's the only way to eat them.

Nice to see you FPK and know that things are going OK. I hope you have a lovely week in your cottage and not too much rain. I know the human brain way over estimates what we can do in a given amount of time but are you sure that's a weekend and not fortnight.

Monna don't ever give up your thought for today I can guarantee I will laugh within ten minutes of getting up. It's a brilliant start to the day. I hope the viewing went well this morning.

fuddle have a lovely weekend. I hope you have taken lots of jumpers and scarves it's going to be cold.

We have a lovely sunny day here but it's -2, going to be -5 tonight.

DS has got so far on with mentally putting everything in his flat he asked me what the tall plants with almond shaped leaves were yesterday. He said I'm told I can't kill one of those, a rubber plant.

It got me remembering my aunts house she had a cheese plant, a yucca, a rubber plant and several lower growing ones in a huge corner of the room. We all called it the jungle.

:rotfl::rotfl: Probably. But I like to have a choice of 'fun' projects so I can do whatever I fancy. We have about an inch of snow in some places, but it is still patchy. The weather warning is upgraded for later today and over night, but we've finished all of the shopping and been to the gym so we're all set.

    Stay warm!

I thought that too, and either some thick tights or some leggings under them.

I think I need that lot in my kitchen. There is a large old extractor fan in the window it is blowing a gale through it.

I do hope that your caravan is anchored down securely Fuddle. The wind is fearsome here. we've even had some of the white stuff but it hasn't laid.

FairyP so glad that things are going pretty well for you. My goodness, I'm so glad that I'm retired. When I hear about your life I have to sit down in a quiet place to recover.

nursemaggie, have no fear, I've been collecting random thoughts and sayings for years. I can keep going ages yet, and when I run out I'm not above making them up.

Well, the viewing went well. Two delightful people and we chatted for a long time. Millie gave them her seal of approval. When they slacked a bit on the patting, rubbing behind the ears, billing and cooing front, she admonished them with a sharp tap on their legs. When they left she moaned a bit.

Now we wait to see if anything else happens, and while I am waiting I'm going to wrap myself up with a good book and hot drinks at my elbow.
I will also be tucking myself into bed early in my lovely clean tidy house.
